I've been having a reaction and I can't figure out what it's to. I was recently put on Norvasc (for high blood pressure) but found out it's ok, and a daily dose aspirin. I think I got the Walgreen's version of chewable baby aspirin (it was cheapest) - could I be getting gluten from that? All I know is it hurts to swallow water - everything that hits my stomach hurts, and I'm bloated. I think it got irritated because of following the theory that Quaker Oats are ok......I've been having oatmeal every day for about a month. My triglycerides were 311 and I started having severe pain. I've since stopped the oatmeal, and felt somewhat better, and I'm wondering if it's because I missed the baby aspirin one day. I took it this morning, and I'm back to hurting with everything I eat/drink. I've ruled out ulcer......no other symptoms. Any ideas?

I buy them at a grocery store which carries a decent variety of

Kosher-for-Passover foods. Needless to say, this was impossible in

central Indiana, very easy in DC, and slightly more difficult in

central Virginia. I sometimes make trips to Richmond (Ukrops markets

have a good variety) or to Rockville, MD, (Katz) to stock up on

pudding mixes and chocolate chips.

I usually buy Paskesz brand, but there are others. My last two half-

empty bags in the freezer are Haddar and Paskesz.

Incidentally, you can order EnjoyLifeFoods chocolate chips year-

round--one of our co-ops actually stocks them. I don't know if they

have any kosher designations, though.

Giant supermarket here in C'ville is building up their Passover

selection. I need to remember to go in this week and request

chocolate chips. :)

I forgot - I freeze all mine too - right after they cool and get cut up, we eat

a few and

freeze the rest. I tell myself it keeps me from eating them all right away -

but really they

just taste fabulous frozen too.

The real test is that my non-GF boyfriend loves them. He is usually game to try

anything

GF at my house, as I keep it totally GF, but we are food people, so we will

analyze stuff and

decide if it is worth making the GF version or if I should just avoid that type

of food. Those

brownies totally passed the test!
