Guest guest
I didn't but thought I would make them for dessert tonight so I will let you know. I didn't find an apple pie filling that didn't have a food starch listed as a safe ingredient so I am just going to do the cherry one again tonight. Gluten Free makes me feel good and it taste good too!
Guest guest
For some reason I started using Potato Starch in the feather light as well as Potato Flour. Is this not the way it is suppose to be or are there more than one variation out there? Also I am making some Cherry Twist tonight for my family since they have begged me for them ever since I made them the other day. Thanks, Gluten Free makes me feel good and it taste good too! Guest guest
Bette Hagman's featherlight doesn't call for Potato Starch, so it seems that you have created a new blend! How is it? You guys are such a bad influence on me, making me want to make all these desserts! hehehhe.. Btw, I think I've figured out a definitive list of my recommended Kinnikinnick products- I like their plain bagels, chocolate covered donuts, maple donuts, and cinnamon sugar donuts. I'm not sure how often I will order these things, because I sure don't need to eat donuts every day, and I have a feeling they'll be in my freezer for quite a while before I get to them, but it was defintely fun to get the chance to try these products! And someday I WILL try ordering those famous k-toos/ oreos! I've also been inspired to make my own bagels after hearing such positive reviews and realizing I enjoy a nice chewy bagel with (light) cream cheese for breakfast or lunch. And with this freezing system I have now, it won't seem like so much effort... That's the hope anyway. > > For some reason I started using Potato Starch in the feather light as well > as Potato Flour. Guest guest
I have not hand any problems with the mix at all. But now maybe I should try it with the cornstarch to see hwo it compares. I do know I have a harder time finding cornstarch in bulk so maybe that is how I got started? I can find the other flours and starches in bulk but not the cornstarch. Gluten Free makes me feel good and it taste good too!
Guest guest
If you have one in your area, “Smart and Final” is a good place to find bulk packages of cornstarch.
