Fawn,

Congratulations!!! That's wonderful news- sending prayers up and best

wishes over your way for a happy, healthy pregnancy.

Maybe you are like me- I put on 5 lbs. as soon as i *think* I might be

pregnant lol. I tend to gain most of my weight early in the pregnancy,

and taper off at the end (actually I tend to lose at the end - I don't

know why). Walking is the best exercise in my opinion, and the timing

is perfect weatherwise. I wouldn't *diet*, just eat as you normally

would (since you are still nursing, thisshould be easy). Congrats

again!

That's like me too, my iron was fine at the beginning but got progessively

worse. with my first baby the OB gave me shots in the bum, but my second OB

that I had for my last two pregnancies told me to take iron pills and gave

me a nutrician sheet about what I should eat. Even doubling hte pills, my

iron was still low when I gave birth to Rowan and I lost a lot of blood.

Alissa,

Welcome back! I think that it was great that your dh (dear husband) took the

time to read the posts and that he maybe has a better understanding of all you

emotions you have. Men handle things so differently and after a loss like ours

it is hard to remember sometimes that they are hurting too...they just show it

so differently...(or in some cases, like my dh, they try not to show anything

and just move on, it seems) though they too do remember.

There will be good days and bad days for you still but I am glad the group has

already helped some. I am telling you, it was the one thing that got me through

this horrible nightmare and gave me hope again. I don't think I would of found

the courage to ttc (trying to conceive) again if it wasn't for all the support

I found here.

Some abbreviatons:

af- Aunt Flo (your cycle)

2ww- 2 week wait (the time between you ovulate and you cycle should show up...or

hopefully NOT!!)

O- Ovulate

.....ok, someone else has to help....I am drawing a total blank here...getting

close to my bedtime. Sorry, Alissa.

Take care.

Hi Melita,

Great news on the blood labs!

Your neighbor has a good friend in you! We all know the importance of

support in healing ... maybe more than most ... I hope her set-back

isn't serious and that she gets back on her and home to the

neighborhood where she belongs!

I love the character and excitement of the city and know why you

choose to live there. When I worked in SF I walked my entire lunch

hour, mostly downtown, over to Union Square, etc ... occasionally up

to Coit Tower. Love those little steps that sneak up through the hills

from one street to the next.

But it was also a joy to walk the mtn trails. When it's steep I'm slow

as trying to push molasses up hill, but on a relatively flat trail or

slight but steady upslope I could walk for over an hour. It was

=great= to discover that I haven't lost it all!

Something about steep granite cliffs, green forests, and blue lakes

that I really don't want to lose for a long time.

Schlepped firewood across the lot to stack without much trouble, but

if I'd had to climb even one step it would have been a major struggle.

What a wierd disease this is!
