Guest guest
Carmen, I hope you are having ovulatory spotting. If it continues for more than 3 or so days or gets heavy, I would call the doc just to let them know. When I had it (and it wasn't ovulatory bleeding) it got pretty heavy. So here's to it staying light and a good vacation!! I'm glad your sil will be there. --- carme1ita@... wrote: > Ok all, here's the latest. > > I just took my last final today and just graduated > with my Associate Degree > in Business Administration!!!!!! Guest guest
Carmen, CONGRATULATIONS on your degree!!!! About that spotting...it could be a good thing if it is mixed in with cm and if it only lasts 2-3 days. In that case it is most likely ovulatory bleeding...when the egg pops out of the ovary, it can cause a little irritation and bleeding. Some women experience this and it can be very helpful if it happens regularly because then you KNOW that you ovulated and WHEN. If it is truly ovulatory bleeding though it won't last more then a few days. So don't worry about it just yet...only if it continues. Good luck!!!! +++++++++++++++++++++ -AmyR
Guest guest
AmyR, Thank you so much for responding. You may be right about ovulatory spotting because I spotted the past two days, but not at all today. How long do you remain fertile after you ovulate? I'm sure the answer to that is in my taking charge book, but, call me lazy, I'd rather just ask you!! Carmen
Guest guest
Carmen, That is fantastic....you got your diploma!!! Even after everything you went through with the loss of your baby...you still hung in there and busted your butt with school!! That was great! I do agree with , if it doesn't stop you should call your dr. Try to hang in there, you body will get back to normal and the " benefits " of the hsg are suppose to be for several months I have heard. ---------------------------------
Guest guest
Carmen, The egg is only viable 12 to 24(at the most!) after it has been released...on the other hand the man's little guys can survive for up to 5 days! if the conditions are just right...that's usually a little extreme in most cases, but it is possible...2-3 days though is very plausible if there is fertile cm for them to thrive in. As an aside...the ovulation predictor kit (OPK) isn't going to tell you much if you've already ovulated...they detect the LH surge that happens 24-48 hrs before you ovulate. If it really looks like you may have already ovulated (and to me it sounds like it..is the cm that you saw gone now?), you might not want to spend the money on them for this cycle..I don't think they are cheap to buy. Just a suggestion... -AmyR
Guest guest
Hmmm...Hormones? You know, anytime anything unusual happens to/with me, that's what I blame it on: hormones....makes a rather credible suspect, I think. If worse comes to worst, I'm sure the doc knows all the right tests to do to gain insight. Sorry I couldn't be more help! Oh, and I hope your mil won't be as horrid as you anticipate...if so, perhaps consider adding a little Super Glue to her meal, maybe? My son tried this when he was about 3 years old. I'd never seen him so quiet. ;o) M Ok all, here's the latest. I don't what the hell is going on with my cycle. I really thought I had ovulated this month but I started spotting again yesterday (cd14??) and am still spotting when I go to the bathroom today. Pinkish/red and pretty light. There was also some cm looking stuff with it. This is the same time the spotting started last month. I cried so hard when I saw it because I was really hoping this would be the month since I just had the HSG. I am worried that by the time my cycles get fixed, the HSG advantages will have worn off and I'll be damned if I went through that kind of pain for nothing. Sorry to be so full of bad news tonight. Most of you know how mean my mil has been about the ep and now I'm going to be stuck spending my only vacation time sitting in that house listening to her crap all day. I just don't want to hear it. I swear if she tells me to " get over it " one more time I'll just lose it and that will make everything worse. At least my sil will be there too. She's pretty good at shutting her up when she starts. Anyway, it's good to see so many people back and it's good and bad to see the new people. (Y'all know what I mean). Thanks for listening and please let me know if any of you have any idea what could be going with my cycles b/c this is realy wearing me out. I love you guys, Carmen
Guest guest
AnyR, I wasn't planning on buying the OPK until next cycle, but thanks for telling me anyway b/c I don't know much about this stuff. If Earl's little swimmers can last 2 to 5 days, there's still a possibility for this month b/c we did it when there was cm present and the cm lasted several days!!!! Ooh! I have hope again for this month!!! You have really made my day, Amy! Carmen
Guest guest
M, I laughed out loud when I got the mental picture of my mil eating super glue!!!! I guess that would shut her up pretty quickly! I know I make her sound awful, but I know she has good intentions. She always thinks she's helping which makes it more frustrating b/c I can't just let her ahve it b/c she's never trying to be mean. Wish me luck this week. We're leaving first thing in the morning. Carmen
