janette, I think you should maybe also think about your social life now and in

the future. would you have your own transportation? how far would their house be

from the things you like to get out and do? where would you find friends, clubs,

groups, etc? how much time off woud you have? when you know the city, can you

call the chamber of commerce and get information about activities you could get

into? you probably don't want to have to rely on them for all your social

contact...think about how you can build a life for yourself apart from your

job...also check out the medical facilities and if they are appropriate for

you.winnie

Hello Winnie thank you for responding. I do not really have a social

life now. I have the few ladies in the complex and we have coffee on

occasion but besides that I don't do much other than get groceries. I

am a very private person. I have a car now and that will be going with

me if I go. I am not worried about clubs, groups etc. Alice said she

will pretty much stick to what her Mother did when I was nanny for her.

I would have the weekends off. I usually didn't do anything though. I

was always included in their activities if they went somewhere. I also

was given any other time off that I requested which wasn't much time. I

would go on vacations and such with the family. They are checking the

hospital and such plus I am going to talk to my doctors to see if they

can give me a good referral.

Hello Sharon, thank you for replying. I am not sure if it is N.

Dakota or S. Dakota. I was so surprised when they asked that it did

not register. How is the weather in N. Dakota? Do you know anything

about S. Dakota? I am leaning towards taking their offer but I am

giving myself the rest of the week to still think about it and pray

that I make the right decision. If we would move close to you it

would be nice to meet somewhere.

If I was thinking about a move of that kind, I believe I would find

out what state I would be moving to first. Sounds as though you

really don't want to go if you are not checking which state. I have

been to both of those states and it is very cold up there in the

winter and I am sure the one to the north must be colder than S.

Dakota. Better check out which one and medical possibilities there

since you have high bp as well as breast cancer. I would never

think of making a move like that without a lot more knowledge of

the place but that is just my opinion. Lea

Hello Lea, I talked to Alice's Mom after I got home from my cleaning job. She said it is South Dakota that they/we will be moving to. I also called my oncologists office and asked if I could get referrals and they said it would be no problem. My b/p was never a problem until recently when I was accused of being a liar. I have never been so hurt in all my life but guess it just affected me more than I thought. I am feeling better now and my b/p is pretty much back to normal. I am done with treatments for my breast cancer as of last year so I consider that part of my life behind me. I told Alice's Mom that I am pretty sure I will take the offer but to let me tell Alice over the weekend. They will be going to S. Dakota soon to look over the area and check out housing there. I know Sharon lives in N Dakota but does anyone live in S. Dakota? We don't get much of a winter down here in Tenn. I think it would be nice to live in a different

climate. Janetteleaglss <no_reply > wrote: If I was thinking about a move of that kind, I believe I would find out what state I would be moving to first. Janette, I do know they get lots of snow there. My ex use to live there and I would hear tales of how hard it was being a cowboy and watching over the cattle. Deep deep snow. I am warm natured type so the idea of living in just a few inches of snow doesn't appeal to me at all. Here in Oklahoma we might get snow once or twice per winter...or less.
