I don't think it qualifies as a true visit from af though....don't I have to go through two normal cycles before proceeding (starting with Day 1)? My HCG was 6 this week! When I see the dr. next week, I will ask about an HSG, etc. Hope you are having a 'nice' visit with af... I know it is a long, slow process sometimes, but a least you got that taken care of. As for hsg, everyone is different. Your dr does know your case best and that is good news that you got pg right away, so you should be able to again. At least now your dr will be able to watch you from very beginning. You can always get hsg done, if you need it later. My reasoning was that since I am 35, I want to know now if my tubes are blocked so I can plan accordingly. She assured me that 6 mos. won't make a significant difference in my fertility. I guess if I had lost a tube due to ep, I'd be more inclined to get one...who knows. Didn't you just have one or do I have you mixed up with someone? (It's so hard to keep everyone straight sometimes) I thought you had an hsg and found both tubes were clear........although that doesn't tell you everything I'm sure it brings some peace of mind. BUT, I did want to say that while there is a slight risk of infection from the test, the risk is so slight that I wouldn't ever let that keep you from doing the test if you want it done for your own peace of mind. BUT, I did want to say that while there is a slight risk of infection from the test, the risk is so slight that I wouldn't ever let that keep you from doing the test if you want it done for your own peace of mind. It is hard to remember everything all the time, don't worry Yes, I did just have hsg, but I need have surgery in Dec and lost rt tube. You might of been thinking of F, she had hers not long ago, and was told she had a mass of some kind in other tube, but luckly hsg showed both tubes clear. I know what you mean about age and wanting to be prepared. It is funny, before ep, I thought I was crazy because people would joke and tell me my clock is ticking and I would just laugh...but poor somedays that old clock seems quite loud now!! At least now, after af makes her appearance you will be able to ttc again. There are so many emotions to deal with. I also understand that it is hard to look at a baby. Sometimes I am ok but other times it hits me really hard still. My dh just mentioned about flying up to his parent's house next month for his dad's bday and my heart just stop and I came up with every excuse not to go. His two cousin's wives are going to be delivery sometime next month. The one wife is very sweet and last time we talked, we told them I was pg and we talked about baby stuff and I haven't been able to bring myself to talk to them since. I am so happy for them and I am afriad I will start crying and I don't want them to feel bad or anything. I know I have to face it soon, I need to be stronger. It is just so hard. There are so many things that we still have to deal with long after ep actually happens. Guest guest Posted April 19, 2001 Report Share Posted April 19, 2001 Terri Hi there. I know it is hard to decide if you are ready to ttc after such a horrible loss. It really takes a toll on you. There are so many emotions to deal with. I also understand that it is hard to look at a baby. Sometimes I am ok but other times it hits me really hard still. My dh just mentioned about flying up to his parent's house next month for his dad's bday and my heart just stop and I came up with every excuse not to go. His two cousin's wives are going to be delivery sometime next month. The one wife is very sweet and last time we talked, we told them I was pg and we talked about baby stuff and I haven't been able to bring myself to talk to them since. I am so happy for them and I am afriad I will start crying and I don't want them to feel bad or anything. I know I have to face it soon, I need to be stronger. It is just so hard. There are so many things that we still have to deal with long after ep actually happens. Guest guest Posted April 20, 2001 Report Share Posted April 20, 2001 Terri Hey, thanks for trying to keep af busy for me. So far, nothing, no af and no symptoms.... I have talked to my dh some about how I am feeling. One night, I was checking messages and his one cousin called to say hello and I guess my facial expression changed when I heard his voice and dh say it and asked me why, I tried to explain to him that I just can't control my feelings sometimes. I was very happy for his cousin but it is hard not to have sadness or even anger sometimes, you know, " why them and not me? " We talked some and I told him there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about what happened. I am not dwelling on the negative, but I am just feeling. He said he thinks about it to sometimes when he is alone too, which made me feel better. When I started feeling overwhelmed with the 2ww and cried, he said try not to think about it and I tried to explain what it is like. (it is hard I guess, since men and women think and feel so differently) I know he tries to be understanding and supportive but I don't think he has an easier time moving on, I don't know...I let him read some of the postings from here and I think he understood alittle better all the emotions. It is hard. Ok, now that I am rambling again, I better go, sorry... I hope you are ok. +++++++thoughts. Remember, it is ok to feel whatever you feel, whenever you feel it, that is one thing I learned here.
