I found La Tiara taco shells at 35 calories each, 3 grams of fiber, and 2.3

grams of fat. This comes to a whopping .3 points per shell.

Found these as a result of looking at low carb items recently - sometimes

those things are very low in points too. The shells are a little thinner

than regular taco shells, but they do the job! (By the way, someone on a

low carb list actually had those things tested..and yes, the label is correct.)

Also, La Tortilla Factory tortillas (again low carb) are very very low in

points - the green onion has lots of fiber.

All those years when I did low carb and asked for those products in the

grocery store, no one wanted to stock LC items. LOL

I noticed last night though that some low fat and no fat items are no

longer being offered. Yikes! Anyone else noticing that?

You're absolutely right about some of the low carb items being low in

points. I found some lower carb bagels made by which are 140c, 2g fat

and 4g fiber (actually 5g fiber) for a total of 2.1 points plus they are a

good size. It looks like at least on the bread products they've really upped

the fiber so it can be subtracted from the carbs, that of course is good for

us on WW as well.

La Tortilla tortillas are a great find! My wife and I have taken to

making burritos with the garlic-herb tortillas -- using lemon-pepper

chicken, lite turkey bacon (1 pt. per strip), non-fat cream cheese (1/2

pt. per tablespoon), and sliced red peppers and cucumbers. They're quite

delicious.

The La Tortilla 100% fat free tortillas end up being 1 pt each. They are soft

taco size, just a tad over 8 inches across.

90 cal.; 8g fiber; 0 fat

They taste best when heated on a skillet, not in the microwave.

Nutritional info above was for regular flavor, they also come in herb, whole

wheat, and others. -, CA
