Guest guest
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 18months ago. Prior to that I suspected I was hypothyroid – but my TSH had only been tested – it was normal. (I didn't have labwork done prior to starting the Isocort – when I used a light on my pupil – it danced in and out.) I started taking the Isocort in April this year– was up to 20mg daily dose – tried to lower the dose – felt worse, stepped on the scales 6 pounds heavier (that was 4 weeks ago). I am a 46 year old female on Bioidentical hormones. My recent labs were: Free T3 3.6 (2.3-4.2) T4 total 6.7 (6.5-10.5) TSH .323 (.35-5.5) I am currently on Armour 2 grains daily Progesterone 7.4 (Mid-luteal phase 4.4-28.0) Testosterone 75 (14-76) DHEA 458 (35-430) I have also been doing ¼ teaspoonful of sea salt twice daily Right now I am taking the Isocort 4-3-2-1. The first 3 pounds came right off when I upped the Isocort again. I still feel " washed out " in the middle of the day – Just drank some caffeinated diet pop just to be able to function around my kids this afternoon. Any suggestions? When I saw my physician 2 weeks ago – I told him I suspected adrenal fatigue – he offered to do the tests. I declined – since I was on the Isocort. He offered to write an rx for hydrocortisone – I said I'd think about it? Suggestions?
