Hello my friends,

It was an interesting day. I had my mom come from Toronto to help me,

i was worried about how to get in to hospital from parking, and the

weakness in my legs seems about same. A tiny bit better today. Now

you understand I have to be desperate to ask for help. i am very

independent.

So the first neurologist (from 8 years ago) who specializes in MS,

had sent a stack of my tests and different specialists reports from

the past 8 years. this very nice neurologist (#7) quickly read thru

them (a speedreader), asked me some questions, did all those quick

neuro tests with the hammer etc. He specializes in metabolic

myopathies, and did not feel that will be the diagnosis. He was

suggesting a mixed connective tissue disorder or myofascial pain

syndrome. He did some blood tests and the exersize one with the right

forearm, for metabolic myopathies. the other tests that I can

remember were ANA, B12, iron, lactate, pyruvate, and i can't remember

the rest. He thinks my movement is limited due to pain in

muscle /joint area. He did a bunch of squeezing, trigger point stuff

that usually the neurologists don't do on me.

So his suggestions were to work on stretching, and rehabilitation

with a specialist, and have cortisone and some painkiller shots in

joint or muscle trigger point area? I wasn't too clear on this, just

happy he wasn't sending me away with " I haven't a clue what you

have " . I will write more in a few days, my screen keeps saying it is

going to shut down.

Thanks for the update. It sounds as if you might be getting a bit closer to

a diagnosis with this neuro. I hope the ordered tests will produce something

useful to help you.

You are in my thoughts.
