Guest guest
Now that I have acquired 10 boxes of Pesach Crumbs, what can I use it for??Is it a straight replacement for Matza Meal?? So I could make Passover Rolls with it?? What about using it as a substitute for matza when I make Gefilte Fish? Would that work? Can I grind it finer and use is as Matza Cake Meal? Then I can make my old recipe for brownies...to make Death by Chocolate! : ) I talked to one guy at one grocery store who said it's a new product and they just didn't order enough! They cannot get any more. : ( Then I went across the street to the store I originally requested it from and lo and behold, there it was on the shelf!! YEAH!!! Thanks....kathi in Houston
Guest guest
Kathi, If you have a Passover recipe for rolls, I would love to have it. I use the Pesach crumbs for brownies and stuffing and I thought the brownies tasted great. It's pretty fine already so you might not have to grind it. I think it's just a combo of potato starch and shortening. I think there is a recipe for matzoh balls on the box but I haven't made it yet. I've never made my own Gefilte Fish but I'm sure it would work in that recipe. Happy cooking!
