SCD friendly doctor in Chicago area

Does anyone know of a pediatric GI doctor in the Chicago area that is

SCD friendly. We have being doing the SCD diet for my son for over 3

years now with much success. He has been in remission for the last 2

1/2 years. He is also on sulfasalazine, but very little amount. I know

he doesn't need this drug any more but my doctor refuses to take him

off it...she said that this drug helps with colon cancer. I would like

to take him off it, but I also don't want my doctor to drop him since

we won't be following her recomendations. He was dropped from his

first doctor after we told him we had him on the SCD diet and had taken

him off 6MP(since 6MP wasn't working, and they were talking to us about

removing his colon)...he threaten to take us to the authorities for not

giving him his medications and putting him on a very restrictive diet

that he did not approve of. I am not sure what I should be doing at

this point, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
