Presently I'm taking only 75 mgs. a day. Didn't know you could take that much but I'll wait and see what my doctor says. But it helps you that's great. Guest guest Posted February 16, 2004 Report Share Posted February 16, 2004 Flora. You might have to increase your dose of Effexor xr.. I got up to 225 mgs of it. I didn't like the side effects though or taking 3 pills to get up there. You should see a difference, even little by now. This might not be the drug for you and you will have to switch to something else. I have switched numerous times. Remember, you can't just stop this med or you will get dizzy and nauseated.
