Hi,

My name is Sine Grant and I live in Brisbane , Australia. I am

married to Louis we have been married since November 25th 2000, and

we have three beautiful daughters. Beth who is 5 on July 9th , she is

in preschool just down the road from us , Abby & Hannah who are

identical twins, they will be 3 on December 16th this year. I am a

SAHM and my husband works as a Sales Account Manager for Education

Queensland (i.e. his company sells pc's to schools in Queensland). Ok

now the 'bad' part.... I was on the mini pill because of breast

feeding and noone told me that if you stop you must change pills

because it is high in progesterone and if I DID get pregnant on it I

had a higher risk of an ectopic pg, because it would stop the hair

follicles in my fallopian tubes pushing it down to my uterus. Well

on our honeymoon I got pregnant and for weeks after I thought I was

severely constipated, I had an early VERY light period then another a

few weeks later with what I can only describe as a agonizing creeping

pain in my pelvis. I ate more fruit tried everything I began thinking

I had picked up something in bali. THEN on Monday the 8th of January

2001 I got the worst pain I have every imagined once again it was a

creeping pain, then as I was walking along the footpath and I became

dizzy and very sweaty I nearly collapsed. a neighbor saw me and drove

me home and that stage I could not walk I laid in bed double-up my dh

got me some pain reliever and that fixed it but I still was aching

inside. The next morning I awoke in more pain vomiting the lot I was

so sweaty my dh called the ambulance and you guessed it I got to

hospital they did a HCG which was positive then my blood pressure

dropped to 90/30 I was moved to acute given morphine and my BP

stabilized but then as they wheeled be to the u/s room ( I was

attached to about 3 machines) my heart rate went up to 180 and bp

went down again they relised I was in shock and the U/S showed 'dark

pools' as they referred to it . I was rushed up to theatre and told I

may lose everything and have a huge scar. I even had to sign an

agreement. Four hours later I woke up I had lost nearly 2litres of

blood but I had'key hole surgery' and only lost my right tube! I was

so happy! About 3 hours later the did a blood count and my heart was

taachardic(sp?) . They told me without a blood transfusion I may die

so I had one. I physically recover VERY quickly I wish I could day

the same emotionally )c:. In may I told DH I had to fall pregnant

again so in my third week of the pill I went off. I had a

breakthrough bleed (alot of pain on the bad side) then a 18 day

cycle, normal period and now I am 6DPO but I have to say I had alot

of pain on both sides and my uterus leading up to Ovulation after O

it went away. Is that normal? Anyway that's me I want this baby so

much you have no idea just to see a + test and no pain will make my

year!
