Guest guest
My mom takes msm and so do I...it's supposed to be a nutrient that we don't get from the foods we eat anymore, but that we definately need for our bodies to function right...she didn't notice a great difference but when she quit taking it she didn't feel as good...My mom also wanted me to ask if anyone suffers from a bad taster?...nothing really tastes good to her and she can't afford to lose any more weight...she thinks maybe it's the prednisone, because it started before she went on the AP, but has gotten worse since then...she takes 10 mgs prednisone orally and a prednisone derivative as drops in her eyes since her eye surgery plus the zithro 500 mg on MWF. By the way if anyone is worried that they might get the RA in their eyes like my mom... my moms case was only the second case her Opthomologist had ever seen in his carreer and he has been around awhile. Pretty unusual and unlikely. Be well...Micki
Guest guest
Hi, Micki. I actually get a strange sensation in my mouth, especially my tongue, from the minocycline. I don't know if I should describe it more as a taste or sensation. I'm sure that the mino is the cause, because I didn't start anything else new at that time. I've been using mino for 3 weeks now, and the mouth sensation/strange taste has diminished quite a bit. I think your mom's on zithro, so my experience is not necessarily applicable, but thought I would share it with you. With a little experimentation, I found if I take the mino on an empty stomach, the mouth symptoms are much worse, so I avoid that. I take it shortly after breakfast, and about two hours after dinner. This minimizes it's impact on my enjoyment of meals. I don't know what the recommendations are for zithromax, so don't follow my advice unless it is appropriate for your mom's particular case. Guest guest
Micki, I have had a bad taste forever. I've been blaming it on the Biaxin I am taking for an infection. It could also be because of my sinuses or incomplete digestion, etc. CAROL/PINEY/CANADA rheumatic msm and bad mouth >From: pryah@...
