Introduction

Hello everyone, happy Christmas.

I joined this list about a week ago after it was mentioned on the

cross stitch list, so some of you will probably recognise me. I'm 23

and hubby is 24 years old we have just become members of the

NCT as we are expecting our first child around 21st March 2001.

We live in Stockport but are having NCT antenatal classes in

Buxton as our local area was full. We left it a bit late to apply at 22

weeks but we thought we would have lots of NHS antenatal classes.

It turns out we will have two as its the end of the financial year, we

were told that if our baby was born in April/May we would have had

more. Our NCT antenatal classes start 8th January. Do you get

sent information when you join the NCT as we have only just joined

and I have heard about these bumps club which I would like to go to

meet other pregnant women.

I am also interested in a homebirth but hubby isn't too sure. We

have been told on the homebirth egroups that there is a local

support group meeting on Thurs so I'm going to take him there. I

don't think he has twigged yet that a support group are hardly going

to change my mind but encourage it!

As for christmas cards I think the standard letter is a brilliant idea. I

have just spent two days writing personal accounts in each card

and its taken ages.
