Guest guest
Sara, I can imagine you are going though a difficult time. A heart shaped uterus may not mean anything to your pregnancy. There are plenty of women who find out they have MAs and have long boring pregnancies. The spoting may not mean anthing either. Lots of women have that and also have good pregnancies. If you see a h/b the chances of have a problem go down to 5% which is very small. You may want to go to a peri to make sure that you get all the care you need. Regular obs are used to seeing 'vanilla' pregnancies and you may need some one with experience with MA's to deliver your baby. - Liz > >Reply-To: MullerianAnomalies >To: MullerianAnomalies >Subject: Intro >Date: Thu, 30 Sep 2004 12:10:50 -0700 (PDT) > _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! Guest guest
First of all, congratulations on doing so well and on the weightloss. You are doing great. After your initial loss, your weightloss will slow way down to 1-2 pounds a week, and those are on lucky weeks. There will be weeks when you do well and don't lose anything. It's just the way it goes. Your body will fluctuate from day to day, hour to hour, that's why they say to only weigh in once a week. You are not really on a plateau in only 3 days. I've not seen many people benefit from staying on phase one much longer. Most (not all) people stall cuz your body needs the nutrition but you will only add in one or two servings of fruit or whole grains a day so you aren't adding very much in. But your body could use the nutrition of it. Carol Intro Hi All,I started SB 9 days ago and have lost roughly 10 lbs. I'm thrilled that everything fits better already! My goal is 60lbs and to maintain healthy eating habits for a lifetime. I do have a question though - I seem to have hit a plateau of sorts in the past 3 days. I am stuck at the 207 mark and haven't lost a bit - I've even gained a pound one day, and then lost it the next. I haven't cheated a bit (I emptied the house of EVERYTHING bad) and I've been measuring my portions and making meals straight out of the books. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, I'm considering staying on Phase 1 for 4 weeks instead of 2. I really don't find the menu restricting (except breakfast...) Is there anyone else who has extended P1? How did you fare?Looking forward to "meeting" everyone!:)Kim This message scanned for viruses by CoreComm No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.Version: 7.0.344 / Virus Database: 267.11.7/112 - Release Date: 09/26/2005 No virus found in this outgoing message. Guest guest
Hello Kim, First, I recommend that you don't weigh yourself every day because there are day to day fluctuations which are normal. I suggest you weigh yourself once a week, preferably at the same time each week. Second, it could just be that you're retaining water or maybe even getting close to that TOTM. As long as you're following the guidelines of this way of eating and you're eating foods allowed on the list, you should do fine. My personal experience is that sometimes I go a few days without losing anything and then suddenly I drop several pounds. Secondly, I find that I lose inches faster than I lose pounds. I therefore recommend that maybe you measure your success by the amount of inches you're losing. Finally, as far as staying on phase 1 longer than the 2 weeks, it's really not recommended by the SBD. You should move on to phase 2 and add only one grain and one fruit per day. Good job on the weight loss so far... keep up the good work! Hope this helps! Yeah - no doubt! You've done great so far, and like Carol says, this is not a plateau - you've only been on the plan for 9 days. I've gone six weeks with no loss, and even a gain of 4 pounds that I can't explain. *shrug* Jen in ND __________________________________ Yahoo! Guest guest
Hi, I just finished day 12 and I lost 10 lbs the first week, have lost nothing since. I guess i should stay off the scale? My only thought is that if you lose so much the first week, your body takes a while to catch up?? I will say, i tried Atkins 2 times * i know this is NOT atkins*, BUT, both times, i did it for 8 weeks strictly, and lost only the first week or so then, maintained for a bit then gained a lb or two back, never lost anymore.. Any ideas??? I am just praying this doesn't happen with SB. I have way over 100 to lose and hope to lose 2 lbs a week. cindy > Hi All, > > I started SB 9 days ago and have lost roughly 10 lbs. Guest guest
Cindi, As long as you're eating the foods that are approved, you should be OK. Just make sure you're getting enough vegetables and not overdoing it on the diet soft drinks. Also, don't weigh yourself too often. I would suggest only once a week at about the same time. This is due to the fact that there are day to day fluctuations in your weight loss. Finally, don't expect to lose weight too fast. There are periods when there is no weight loss followed by a sudden drop of a couple pounds. So... my advise... don't worry and hang in there. Hope this helps! Guest guest
I also think that in some people, they have to count their calories and find out how many works best for them. I know this diet, and diets like it, do not count them, but some people to watch them. I know that I do. When I am only watching what I eat, and not how much I eat, I will not only not lose, but I will gain. The times that I went back on phase one without counting calories I gained at a rate of a pound or more a day. For my body, I can't go over 1200 calories, even with a lot of exercise. Other people that amount is too low and they will gain on it. So you need to find a calorie count that works best for you. Not eating enough or eating too much is can be a problem for them. So you might want to put your food into fitday.com and see what you are coming up with. Some people actually end up finding out they are only taking in like 900 calories which is not enough. Others find out they are taking in like 2000 which is too much for them. So this is just a suggestion. I am currently counting Weight Watchers points with my foods or I end up gaining weight regardless of eating all SBD foods. Just a thought. Guest guest
Best of luck to you! I wish I had answerers for you, but I'm just starting as well... Do you exercise daily? I find that I don't lose unless I get my butt in gear and move. I *hate* to excercise, so I sneak it in by pushing my son in the stroller (my husband laughs at me becuause I have a cinder block in the bottom basket for resistance!) and I'll be starting to ride the stationary bike in the evening while I watch TV - I told myself that I wouldn't watch TV unless I was peddeling...Lets see how long that lasts right? Think outside the box and eat anything you want. There's a lot of different recipes out there for phase one. You definately don't need to eat eggs every day. People just never think of anything else. Guest guest
Because Phase One is not nutritionally balanced. Your system needs the things that Phase Two adds to your diet. The primary purpose of Phase One is to break your cravings. This is all explained in the book. Guest guest
Oh, I know that lol she just wanted to know what I had eaten for breakfast. I love eggs lol Carol Parsons wrote:You don't have to have eggs for breakfast. You can have ANYTHING from the list: Yogurt, milk, leftover dinner. Think outside the box and eat anything you want. There's a lot of different recipes out there for phase one. You definately don't need to eat eggs every day. People just never think of anything else. Carol Re: Intro Eggs, eggs, & more eggs lol. That is all. I lost a little over 30 lbs in the 4 weeks. whyowhy116 wrote:I walk about 2 miles a day now, but will be starting to ride the stationary bike also, as soon as its delivered this week. How much did you lose over the 4 weeks and what did you eat for breakfast besides eggs? Kim > I was on phase one for 4 weeks and lost alot of weight!!
