It all went away soon after cutting diary and gluten out of my diet (I did find later that the nightshade family also caused some joint pain for me so I have cut those out of my diet as well). I just have to say though that the explanation your alternative health practitioner gave you is a big hinky IMHO. If you have celiac disease or an allergy/intolerance your body sets up an inflammatory response to the items when you eat them. It is this inflammation that is probably causing your joint pain. Guest guest
> . I could > undertand a practioner saying allergies cause joint inflammation > (altho I'm not sure it is true), but not bacteria build-up. ========== yup, the bacteria build up is questionable, to say the least. However, allergies do cause inflammation responses and definitely do cause joint pain in many people. my extreme joint pain was what clued the pain management doc in to checking for CD. Guest guest
I have a question about painful joints, I'm now 3 weeks gluten free, tomorrow, and I still have really painful joints, is this from the gluten still in my system? or can painful joints be the ONLY side effect of dairy intolerance? Thanks angie > > > hey, > > i was diognosed with coeliacs a few months ago. ive always had really > > bad joints, an altenative healh practicioner that i go to thinks this > > might be to a starch and lactose allergy that causes bacterea build up > > in joints and wants me to consider coming off lactose and starch. > ============= > > one of my main problems from dairy and gluten was exceedingly > painful joints. I'd try taking out the dairy and see what happens. Also be careful of the nightshades. Shez
