Hi all,

Congratulations to Dale for organizing a terrific SPF Lunch Connection in

Denver! A special highlight was a demonstration of the revolutionary IBOT

wheelchair (that climbs stairs). Very cool! We also saw it at the 2003

TeamWalk

For Our Cures walkathon and it " walked " with us.

March 6 Raleigh NC Connection featuring Dr. Marchuk from Duke University,

recipient of an SPF Research Grant Award for an HSP mouse model and a special

PLS

Re-Connection session from the Autumn in North Carolina Connections. There

is also the possibility of an additional very special program that we hope to

also bring to you thanks to Don (stay tuned).

March 13 Orlando Connection featuring special support/sharing sessions for

everyone; special sessions for significant others and patients, thanks to Bob

White and Ann Good; and meet the SPF board of directors. We are also working on

bringing in a PT or physiatrist.

NY State Connection Conference featuring top neurologists on May 1 just

outside of NYC

Chicago Connection in June featuring Dr. Siddique sharing the results of the

PLS Symposium and a lab tour as well as an HSP special session.

Remember there's also monthly support groups held in partnership with related

organizations in the Los Angeles area, Ann Arbor Michigan and the

Philadelphia area.

2004 Annual National Signature Event:

The 2004 National Research and Beyond Conference and TeamWalk For Our Cures

Weekend will be August 27-29 in the Boston, MA area.

Hey Everyone,

Who all went to the connections in Denver? Meeting Dale--what a

thrill that would be! If we both go to Teamwalk, we are going to

set up a ring and have us both come out " swinging " --won't take long

for both of us be knocked over! lol
