Guest guest
Thanks for the tip-I love M & M's anyway so I will go to Target and get some. Also, I was sort of wrong on the cancer drugs-Read 's post-she is correct. If you are hormone positive you can take Tamoxifen or Arimidex depending if you are post or pre menopausal. It has nothing to do with if you had chemo or not. Depends on your type of cancer.tobie klemz wrote: New M & M colors > > > > Please pass this on to all of your friends. I know mom hasn't gotten this far as in the chemo drugs yet but we have found out what caused her cancer was years and years of taking hormones after her hysterectomy. She has taken them for forty years. I wonder if being hers was caused by hormone pills will it be hereditary and will I have to worry about it. I am not very smart about all of this yet. Guest guest
Sorry, I'm probably not responding the right way...still learning the logistics of emailing a message on this site...but, I've got a (big) problem; having survived breast cancer for 9+ yrs., can't help living my life with the feeling of a "death sentence"; waiting for the "next one" to drop? what to do? Need to talk with someone. Thanksjanet3665 wrote: Of course you did, Patty. Chemo brain again. Guest guest
I think I am getting that kind of feeling too, Dell. This is the place to talk, we all have feelings that sometimes get out of hand....nne is our moderator and she is a sixteen year survivor. You are responding the right way....because your feelings are important to all of us. We have people who are survivors, some just starting out on hearing the bad news, and those like me.....had a lumpectomy in Dec. and started chemo Feb. 3rd..I have my chemo on this Friday...and at that time I will be completing two months of chemo. Then I start my full radiation 33 days M-F and when that's over I do three more months of chemo. Different from a lot of people but we are all unique, just like everyone else. Please feel free to email us at any time. Guest guest
-It will be 8 years in December for me. Just take one day at a time and live life to the fullest. All of us that have been diagnosed with cancer, have had the opportunity to re-evaluate what is important to us. We have prioritized them. Don't dwell on the negative. All you can do is manage your own health care and be proactive when it comes to the diagnostic test. Remember no one gets out of this life alive. Guest guest
You have to take one day at a time and do not dwell to much on your cancer...live the day to the fullest...What I had to learn to do was go one and finish my chemo and then start radiation with out the support of my mom...she was helping me by taking me to my chemo treatments and sitting with me the whole time I was there...She passed away suddenly the day before I was to get my 5th treatment...I had to depend on friends of my moms to take me to the rest of my chemo treatments...It was very hard not having my mom to talk to when I was getting the chemo... Sometime soon I will have to have a D & C done and I am very scared...it will be out-patient surgery and will have to find someone to take me there and pick me up...I have a friend that will help me if she is not busy that day...Have not been scheduled yet... Betsy(NC) Note: forwarded message attached. Wow, I got a response..thank you Janet...so, maybe I figured some of this out. thanks much. Anyway, my question is this....how does one go on with their life, knowing, as I feel with "a death sentence" once you've been diagnosed?janet3665 wrote: I think I am getting that kind of feeling too, Dell. Guest guest
Breaks my heart that you are so alone Betsy. Do you have any children or family close by? I have had several D & C's in my life and found them to be a fairly simple procedure. But it still sucks to be alone. Praying for you my dear, Trisha -- Fwd: Re: m & ms candy for breast cancer You have to take one day at a time and do not dwell to much on your cancer...live the day to the fullest...What I had to learn to do was go one and finish my chemo and then start radiation with out the support of my mom...she was helping me by taking me to my chemo treatments and sitting with me the whole time I was there...She passed away suddenly the day before I was to get my 5th treatment...I had to depend on friends of my moms to take me to the rest of my chemo treatments...It was very hard not having my mom to talk to when I was getting the chemo...
