Guest guest
Enclose a photocopy of the ticket not the real thing - just in case! I've done this several times - even when I have had to go and ask strangers for their used tickets, when I have forgotten to buy a ticket, and I have been let off every time! Guest guest
I got a parking ticket this morning, having paid and displayed but stupidly let put the ticket in the windscreen - which he did but upside down. £25 fixed penalty - that's all I need! So, do I go to the hassle of writing to the council and explaining the circumstances and enclosing my valid ticket in the hope that they might let me off? Or shall I pay up and shut up? How likely are they to let me off? Guest guest
Did this myself on a day trip to Blackpool I wrote and they did revoke the fine. Is definitely worth spending 26p on a stamp to save £25 .... NCT Derby & District
Guest guest
Write to them and explain exactly what happened - they do have powers to waive parking fees - worth a try isn`t it? Be nice and straightforward and polite . That happened to me, I happened to have prev day`s ticket still stuck on a side window, with today`s ticket on the windscreen, the warden had written out the ticket but was hanging round near the car and told me to write in, as it was his error. Guest guest
I think you'd have a pretty good chance of getting your money back. Someone I know received a fine for a local car park and got her money back after sending in the invoice which proved that her car was at Kwik Fit at the time. KF had put it in the car park without paying for a ticket!!! cerys
Guest guest
Anything's worth a try, ! I can't believe how petty they are getting over parking these days.
