Guest guest
Lea, Thanks for the great recipes - keep em coming. BTW you can make this lower fat by substituting the non-fat baking butter substitute for the butter and using egg beaters for the egg. Alternately, if you're lazy like me - Trader Joe's makes a pretty tasty chocolate chip SF cookie. Guest guest
Yes the chips have surgar in them but you can find them surgar free too. I saw this on another list I am on and thought that I would pass it on for some that could tolerate a little surgar. Semi- sweet chips have about half the surgar as regular chocolate. Guest guest
Hi, I made another batch of Chocolate Chip Cookies using Naomi Poe's flour and put it to the test!! My 8 year old grandson and granddaughter. I first gave the grandson a cookie, and he said, "can I have three?" Now he had no idea he was eating gluten free cookies. I just realized he ate the cookies with walnuts in them, and he has always said he didn't like walnuts! Now I think of it, I'm surprised that he ate them at all. He never mentioned the nuts! We took both kids out to the movies tonight, and when we got back to the motorhome I gave my 8 year old picky eater granddaughter a cookie with milk and she asked for another one and really liked them!! I only gave her one at first because I didn't want to waste them in case she didn't like them. Now neither one of them have ever eaten anything without gluten and they didn't know the difference!! I also received my first order from the Gluten-Free Trading Company and am very pleased with their service. They charge $1.50 for handling because of packing material, and only charge what Fed-X charged them which was $12.25 and I had quite a large order. They carry gluten free, soy free Chocolate Chips, tomato soup with no soy, and a lot of other things without soy that I haven't been able to find. I downloaded the pages of their products that I could use and they list all ingredients so it makes it easy to order, and they shipped right away. It's easier and cheaper to buy everything in one place then several different places. Donna S.
