Cake Love in Washington DC

I'm posting this here, figuring it will reach a wider audience, and

maybe some people who will be traveling in/near DC.

If you live in/near DC, or are planning to be here in the near future,

go to Cake Love.

I have a friend who works at Cake Love, and he and I have talked about

the fact that Cake Love didn't have any GF cakes a while back. Well,

yesterday he called me while I was on my way home (thinking about what

I could bake in my new kitchen), and told me that they started making

a GF cake. I seem to remember talking to the owner about this at one

point too, and he told me that they had made one in the past, but

stopped making it for whatever reason.

I had a piece last night of this new cake. *drools* Its called

''s Secret Flourless GF Chocolate Cake with Almond Praline'. I'm

not 100% sure what the ingredients in it are, but it is GF and it is

sinfully delicious. I will definately be back for more. It was the

perfect melt in my mouth consistency with just the right amount of

chocolate, not too sweet, but still chocolatey.

I HIGHLY recommend you go try a piece. Support them. Let them know

that a GF baker in DC would be loved by many and well supported.

Especially one where you can just walk in and get a slice (without

having to order it ahead of time).
