Hi everyone,

I get so swamped moderating over on GAPShelp that I don't get much of

a chance to read or post here, but I wanted to extend a BIG thanks to

Marilyn for your recommendation of the Excalibur 9 tray with timer!!

This will also be of interest to people shopping for yogurt makers: I

had the Yogourmet. It kept underheating and overheating. Now, Elaine

and others did not worry about what that machine might be doing; she

plugged it in, left it alone and was satisfied with its results. But

me, I wanted everything to be 'just so' so the variances bugged me.

Anyway, I was able to return the Yogourmet after a full year and put

the refund toward an Excalibur 9 Tray with Timer. I've only had it a

week, but so far so good. I set the yogurt for 105ish degrees, and

when I checked the yogurt temp, it was 106! Hoorah! I've also done in

it zucchini chips and some SCD cookies that, strangely, called for a

half hour of dehydration at the end. My son and I soak all our nuts

before eating, so next I'm going to dry some out so they are crunchy

again and can be stored longer.

Again, thank you so much, Marilyn, for directing me to this particular

machine and model. Someone else on our list has found that the

Excalibur is not necessarily consistent in temp, and she has a call in

to the company about that, but so far so good for me.

Marilyn: When I came over here to post, I saw some subject lines that

indicated you are going through another round of challenge :( So

sorry to hear that. You deserve the best in health! I know it's always

increasing for you and I so look forward to the day when it's complete

(as complete as it gets in living beings) and your only contact with

doctors is when you do seminars on SCD at the medical schools!

Sincerely,

Baden
