Lizette -

You can try running in water - that can help plantarfacitis. Also, ice, ice,

ice - every day, at least 20 minutes. Arnica gel on that foot every day,

also. I got rid of plantarfacitis by being diligent with both of those, and

received lots of bodywork - Rolfing Structural Integration, holistic PT,

stretching, soft arch supports (temporally until they became uncomfortable,

and my foot felt better off without them.)

Do you know if transvaginal ultrasound is pretty good? Seems like with

fibroids, in order to get a look at the ovaries, one should have the

transvaginal ultrasound in addition to abdominal. What do you think?

Thanks for all the suggestions. I had tried the arch supports and after the

fourth week they became incredibly uncomfortable. I am glad to hear this is

not unusual. I will give your other suggestions a try!

I am not an ultrasound expert and I hope I did not come across as someone

who thinks she knows a lot about this imaging modality. Whatever little I

learned was " on the job. " The transvaginal probe gets closer to the uterus

and therefore affords a different perspective. Some doctors will order the

abdominal and a transvaginal, or just the abdominal if you have had the

transvaginal done recently. If the doctor does not order a transvaginal

study when an ultrasound is deemed necessary, it might be a good idea to

quiz him/her why.

I hope everyone had a happy New Year!

Cheers,

Lizette
