Guest guest
I had chemo once every 3 weeks, and my hair felt out 3 days (more or less) after the second chemo (I had A/C too), that makes 17 days for me. In the morning I woke up, and BANG, they were on my pillow, on my night gound....every where. I called my hairstylist (a dear friend) crying "now-now-now", and he let me go to his salon in between two clients to shave my hair very very short--- but I lost them too after few days. My cranium was like a baby bu...oops. What if...it was a Sunday (and he doesn't work both on Sundays and Mondays)...? I may have had to wait until Tuesday, and could have been horrible. Suggestions....be prepared. I have never heard that hair don't fall, with chemo, so I assume you will lose them too. Maybe go with a tremendous short cut for now (also a styled short cut would be nice), and shave your head after the second chemo. I felt ashame because having no hair (what a stupid feeling, as it was a fault!!), but after few days I felt better. I had my baseball hats, etc. Trisha, the hair will grow back, probably curly if you have straight hair, and BELIEVE ME, they will be stronger than before. Usually, as you lose them after 15/20 days the first chemo, as soon as you stop it takes the same numbers of days for your hair to come back. hugs, and prayers Lu Trisha wrote: Is 18 days the norm? Or is there a norm with A/C? My daughter is going to shave my head but she travels a lot and I don't want to be caught with a half head of ratty hair. When does anyone suggest I let her at me with the scissors and shaver?? I am 6 days into the A/C and no signs of fall out yet. Just lifeless and dull hair now. Guest guest
Hi Lu, I had CMF and didn't loose my hair. It just thinned out a lot. I sure wish I would have lost it all or that I would have thought to shave my head. My hair is very thin on top now. It didn't come back thick like it was :-( Hugs nne Breast Cancer Patients Soul Mates for Lifehttp://www.geocities.com/chucky5741/breastcancerpatients.html Check out my breast cancer ornaments at:http://www.geocities.com/chucky5741/bcornament.htmlalso check out my other ornaments and lots of nice gifts at:http://www.cancerclub.com Re: Hi....my first time to post....long post> > Thanks .
