Unless there's been an extremely recent archaeological revolution, that

claim would involve a very liberal interpretation of " contemporary " --

unless you consider yourself a contemporary of Shakespeare :-) Even

phus, sometimes credited with the first mention of JC, was born in 37

AD. It is likely that the supposed phus reference was a later

interpolation by Christian revisionists. The other " contemporary " references

are ambiguous at best. See
