I quilt but am unsure what you mean by stencil designs-

do you mean the quilting pattern for the stitches to make the design or

stencils for the piece work or stencils to paint and quilt around that design?

I have lots of quilt design books including all of Ga Bonesteel's and can look for you

once I understand your request a little better,

Patti I quilted many years ago but don't have what you are looking for. I can ask Josie my neighbor as she quilts. I will write back if she knows of any place. the sites I have looked at. Anybody know of a nice site I can find some stencils designs at? I have a fancy for animals designs and have found a few at jdstencils but would like to see more but nothing really fancy. I am too new to this yet. My first project is going to be a table runner. the second is my mothers mother's day present. Then if all that works out more small but special projects for christmas Patti

Patti,

I used coloring books. I've also enlarged clipart, which worked very well

for me. Any small pictures can be enlarged to whatever size you need.

Good luck

Andree, what I am looking for is the stitching that you do to the top and oh what is it called, not the batting but the grrrrrr, can't remember what it is called. It's the material in between the top and bottom pieces. Anyway, it's what is done in the loom. Paint and wall stencils are too big for that I want to do. This is one of the sites that I found, but wanted more. http://www.jdstencils.com/StencilPage1.html

Muslin, that's what it's called. I need a stencil design to keep the pattern and the muslin attached to eachother. I have seen designs online, but I would like something different. I don't like to do the same old same old, and to be honest a lot of the stuff that I have seen online seems a bit difficult for me. But then I thought this current project, a basic table runner, would be more than I can handle. I had one square all sewn together and ripped it all apart again. And then while I was taking more time with it last night, I ripped this one section apart three times. But in the end. It turned out pretty darn good. So I will move on to the next step; finishing building all the squares and attaching those. Hopefully I will be able to start the stenciling part today.

I have to say, I am learning patience with this. And with time and patience you can teach me new things. LOL.
