Guest guest
You can go trought this. You know you do. For the liver they have medication, and also in Health Food Stores you can find herbs to detox, etc. Go trought a healthy diet. Keep walking (who wrote from "Finding Nemo", keep swimming ? I love that movie! I am the fish that forgets everything,.... what was her name...? LOL)--KEEP SWIMMING. Do not stop, do you hear? White cells can be raised up with shots. Keep yourself positive. Do NOT surrender. Never. Keep us posted. Lu janet3665 wrote: Trisha and allI had my cat scan today and only learned one thing. My dr suspects I have caught Hepatitis A, which is contagious. And I know my immune system is already suppressed because I have diabetes. But my white blood cell count was lower this week. That could be from an infection. Guest guest
I am feeling a lot better. Didn't do a thing today except get my mail and send back my Netflix dvd so I can get the next movie. Back is still a little achy but I think I must be lucky compared to some of you. Guest guest
Janet, Hope your hair can make a mohawk by the 16th - once mine started coming out (right after 2nd chemo) it was like I was raining hair. Got your order, thanks so much. Will ship you a little surprise, too. I think I have been posting - though I may get my groups confused. I belong to the ibc group and another bc group. Between the 3 groups it does get a bit confusing - but I love all of them. It's interesting that each group seems to have a distinct personality. I wonder if that stems from the moderator or if it's just a case of kindred souls flocking together... I'm so glad you're taking your hair loss in stride. Another step toward recovery. For those of you with kids (or even husbands) here's a game I used to play when I was a baldie...I'd write a word on my bald head with lipstick and cover it with a chemo hat. Then the kids would have to guess the word, given lots of clues, of course. It helped them deal with my cancer - and it was a lot of fun. Take good care, Ann Yahoo! Mail Bring photos to life! Guest guest
Ann, I am having the CMF chemo and it supposedly only thins the hair. But nne and I had this discussion and after 16 years she said 'if she had it to do over, she would shave it and hope it came back thicker.' So mine is coming out in smaller amounts but still not fun. I have a lint roller to pick up all the cat hair my two cats leave around. Today I picked up My hair and it took four rolls (of the roller) to get it all. Guest guest
If you'd like to send them to me I can resize them in Paintshop Pro and then upload them nne. Hugs, Jackie -- Janet Janet, Just wanted to let you know I am still trying to post your pictures with your Mohawk. Is there any way you could resend them but make them smaller? Yahoo photos says they will size them but for some reason I cannot get them to post. Quite possible that its due to our server problems. Still having problems with email and now with a winter storm on the way I can only imagine what the next few days are going to be like. I WON'T give up till I get them posted!! Guest guest
Thanks Jackie I do know a bit more about my HP Photo system so I'm sure I can do it this time. And maybe even put them on myself. I will try soon. Janet
Guest guest
Janet, I will keep trying. This internet service we have stinks. Last year we had a really bad thunderstorm and the same thing happened. I have trouble getting emails out. Sometimes they sit in my outbox for hours. Once in awhile I will get one to go out right away. Also have problems with my groups. This lasted 5 weeks last time! Its quite possilbe that this could be Yahoo and not my computer. I tried mailing them to a friend to post for me and I couldn't even get them to send. I won't give up though. Its become a challenge!! If you happen to get them up let me know. Guest guest
Thanks Jackie, I tried sending them to a friend yesterday and they sat in the outbox for 6 1/2 hrs so I deleted the email. We are under a winter storm warning till midnight so this dang service could get even worse. They are throwing in some thunder/lightning/sleet and the best part 5-7 inches of snow! Very possible I may not be around for a day or two. Guest guest
That sounds so nice.....like a hidey-hole for adults. I would love to be that protected but alas, it's only protected on two sides. My wicker loveseat looks so nice.........but it's too cold for me. Janet > > Right now at 5:30PM it's 45º. Guest guest
5 FU is the chemo that causes the peeling. But I have psoriasis and it affects my fingertips like this too. Psoriasis medicine didn't really help......so it must be the chemo. I do have a deck facing south and hadn't thought putting my wicker loveseat out there with plenty of blankets. It is not shielded from neighboring condos on the upper floors. But it's protected on two sides with trees between condos on ground floor. But I didn't waste the sunny days.....I got outside every day for a short time. Janet

Guest guest
Hey, Thanks !! I have always looked about ten years younger than I am........and since I have gained some weight, that helps too. Went to the dr today and he said it was o.k. to do all six months of chemo in a row. Now I just have to remember to call the Radiologist tomorrow to get it all straightened out. And he told me to use either Vaseline or Eucerin ointment on my fingers. Andree's Shea Souffle works just as well. He also wanted me to take extra Vit B 6 to improve my WBC......so I stopped at Costco on the way home. I do start my next month of chemo on Friday......the third month. Tomorrow I am going to watercolor class and meeting a friend for lunch afterwards. Sounds good to me. Janet IDC
