Merry Christmas everyone,

I have been so behind lately, I still have over 200 messages to read

in order to catch up, but wanted to take this opportunity to say

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of my fellow weight

watchers. You have all been such an inspiration to me. I don't

post a lot, but follow the board reading everything (sometimes late,

but I don't delete anything because it is all worth while to me).

I just wanted to remind everyone to keep up your measuring. It is

truly important. Sometimes we plateau and just hang out for a month

or so, seems very discouraging, BUT, measure yourself, it really

does make a difference. I am going to list my measurement loss

below, not to brag, but just to say, it IS possible. My weight loss

was very slow and I had a lot of weeks staying the same or within a

half pound, and my advise is not to take you measurments too often

either, but do keep track. It is amazing.

From Jan 1, 2003 to Dec. 23, 2003

Weight loss 30 pounds

Upper arm loss 1 1/4 inches

Bust loss 3 1/4 inches

Ribcage loss 3 3/4 inches

waist loss 4 inches

abdomen loss 4 1/4 inches

hips loss 4 1/4 inches

thigh loss 3 3/4 inches

It seemed like it took forever, but it was only a year and I feel so

much better. I used to not want to go out because I felt fat and

didn't know what to wear, so I wore baggy clothes that I " thought "

covered everything up, but in reality made me look even frumpier. I

have had to shop quite a bit lately to get things that fit and I

cannot tell you the rewards of how you will feel about that. I am

still not crazy about dressing room mirrors, but when you can fit

comfortably into smaller and smaller sizes, it is such a good

feeling. So keep measuring and even tho you may be " stuck " weight

wise, inches may be coming off. Good luck to you all.
