Yep! Well, my mom's recipe calls for mayo, mustard,

touch of white vinegar and some sugar. I used Splenda

in place of the sugar and all the rest was the same

(boiled egg, green pepper, radish, onion) and then the

cauliflower instead of potatoes. It was AWESOME! I

brought a small serving to have with my steak for

lunch today, too!

potatoes. I decided to try that.....I cooked 2 headsof cauliflower, broken into flowerets, until it wasjust crisp-tender. THen I mixed all mom's otheringredients in there and was absolutely AMAZED!! Itwas WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!! I took it to friends' house(who are also trying to LC and at first her husbanddidn't recognize that there weren't any potatoes inthere!!!!!)

Are you serious, !!!!!???? I'm going to HAVE to try that. If you say it is that good, I'm going to believe you and try it next!!!!!! Can you send in the recipe??

Was just reading back posts. Didn't realize that it had been so long.

Just wanted to update those that remember me about a few things. First

of all my sister lost her long battle with bc in December. I miss her

so much.

Second I had a hysterectomy/w ovary removal 2 weeks ago. I was lucky

no incisions so recovery is going well. Still no lifting, bending, or

vacuuming.....

Take care,

Thank you nne. As you know it was a long battle. While I miss

her terribly it was time for it to be over for her sake.

I was able to be with her the day before she died. And she did

understand when I told her that my recent scare was really nothing

to be concerned about. Things had changed so fast. She stopped all

treatment on Nov 16. She passed on Dec 4.

, That's pretty impressive that you are ahead of the game. I would probably do the same thing regarding my hair. It would be hard but what you going to do? If you shave it you won't see it fall out. A lot of women wait and I think it causes more emotional worries. Having both breasts removed; now I don't think I would do that. But if you are happy with that I guess it's all that matters. I had invasive ductal carcinoma in left breast. I had a lumpectomy, radiation and now taking Arimidex for five years. Keep us posted on your journey. Love & prayer-SharonCSam wrote: Hello, I'm and I found out 4 weeks ago that I have breast cancer.I am

scheduled to have a bilateral mastectomy in 2 weeks. The cancer was found in my right breast on a 6 month follow up mammogram. The biopsy came back as invasive carcinoma. (Ouch). I have decided to have my left breast removed as a preventive measure. (double ouch)Today I had 20inches of my hair donated to Locks Of Love. I decided when I start loosing my hair loss my hair I knew it would be tough to wake and find my long hair on the pillow case, also my estrogen was stopped and I thought the short hair might help with the melt downs. Those of you who have gone through this know what I am talking about. Thanks for listening. I appreciate all the hugs and well wishes. My best friend Olga was diagnosed with stage 3 BC in 2003. Unfortunately she lost her battle in June of last year. Thank you soo much for allowing me to join your group. Hugs Chelle

Welcome to the group- Denial is facing fear of the unknown. We all have had it when they said the word "BC". But you sound like you will be there for her and will march her through the stages. As many a women have said- "it's not the death sentence it used to be." Unfortunately, it seems like we hear more and more women getting bc. Keep us posted as a lot of women have hope and positive attitudes in this group. SharonC SHARON COLEY DIRECTOR OF SALES DOUBLETREE HOTEL LOS ANGELES/ROSEMEAD 888

Hello, Believe me I know how you feel!! But that seems a little drastic. The Dr. called me after the biopsy results and wanted me to come in that moment which I did. So keep the faith that they just want to start the march. That was scary so I will send you a prayer. SharonColdcableguy2002 wrote: Hello everyone. I hate to just jump right in here but I'm in a bitof a bind.Today I received a phone call about the mammogram that I had yesterdayand it has scared me witless. The lady on the phone said: "...and weneed you to come in as soon as possible for a diagnostic". When Itold her my current, inconvenient situation (see below), she asked ifthere was some

way to make arrangements as they would like me theretomorrow and to allow for a few hours. Is it normal for the mammopeople to sound so onimous or was this lady possibly having a bad day?I've taken that into account but I'm am really, really worried aboutthe tone of her responses because I have worked in health care andknow that such things are usually conveyed in a totally neutral manner. My husband is out of the country and is not scheduled to return for aweek and a half. I can't even contact him till late tomorrow sowhatever they do or find, I'm going it alone. He doesn't even knowwhat's going on right now. To make things worse, I have 3 young kidsand basically no family or friends available to help out. If the news is not good, how soon will the docs want to act on it? Itwill be hard to make plans for getting hubby back home quickly but itcan be done if necessary.

Any advice is grately appreciated. Thanks in advance,Stormy aka Oldcableguy SHARON COLEY DIRECTOR OF SALES DOUBLETREE HOTEL LOS

Hi , Boy, I want to wish you a great day. I find that exercise is also good for hot flashes. I was reading a post by someone that takes Zoloft which helps the endocrine produce seratonin which is a cover for hot flashes. Ask your dr. , for help- I have been lucky so far with the Arimidex but only been on it for about 2 1/2 months. I might be where you are at in a few more months. Who knows?
