It's beautful up here right now (well, except for the rain this weekend and that little tornado down in Alpena yesterday afternoon, but we needed the rain). Summer should last at least another week before we start getting snow again. I could give you some intensive deprogramming and get you set back on the straight and narrow. Miss Robin, I think the key with you and keeping you on track is to make sure you are posting more often. And to be sure that you post all the food that passes your lips. And be brutally honest, even if you screw up. And, of course, being the sweet and gentle souls that we are, we'll come down on your butt HARD for every single bad choice! The wrath of this list should be sufficient to induce even the most wayward poster to get back with the program, don't you think? We could also get you a big sister. I mean, a really big sister. A big, NASTY, carb-police type of sister. A carb-Nazi. We could solicit the list for volunteers, asking them to describe to us, in intricate detail, all the various tortures she would inflict on you if you made bad food choices. And, of course, we would make all of this torture public, just so you'll be sufficiently humiliated into good behavior. And as a deterrent to others who might be considering similar bad food choices. Hey, while I'm at it, maybe we'll get a big nasty sister too. Any takers for the Big Nasty Sister job? I bet we've got several on this list who would be excellent candidates. Terry, You might want to leave the torture part out of the brochure. Seriously, I've thought for a long time that a person could make a darn good living with a low carb retreat. A week or ten days with cooking classes and classes in basic carb counting and restaurant menu adaptation combined with a little fun would be fantastic. A little mild " E " for the people who can tolerate it. A scrapbook like class where people assemble a book with tips and recipes. It could operate pretty much year round and would be far more accessible than Dr. A's cruise for most of us. Anyway, we have always thought it would make a good bed & breakfast. And a lo carb B & B sounds like a terrific idea. But you know that any property in Vegas is going to be outrageous in price. 'Course, I also weigh straight out of bed first thing in the am, so chances are ALWAYS good that one has been up to no good in those circumstances. P.S. -- For those among you whose minds tend to drift down stray paths, and for the record, I do NOT sleep nekkid. I need to have myself covered to be able to enjoy sleeping. I mean, what if some terrible tragedy happened in the middle of the night? And I had to run outside? In northern Michigan? In the almost guaranteed to be freezing cold?
