Guest guest
Kathy, Please don't ever feel like you are to long or don't even think of apologizing for that. Please vent if it helps. I am sorry to hear your news. That is awful that she is suffering in pain. There has to be some other medication that will help. You take care! Guest guest
Kathy, I'm glad you're back safely. I'm so sorry to hear of your MIL's discomfort, I know how hard that is to see on a loved one. Hopefully with the combo treatments, it will help subside the pain she's suffering. I think the most important thing is care and comfort, and I'm here to care and comfort you as much as possible, along with your family's support and comfort for her. Please keep us posted on her results, I only wish the very best. Thinking of you, Dawn Hi All Hi all, Well my family and I just got back from our trip to Minnesotta. I wish we could say everything was fine and we had a great time. My mother-in-law was home when we got there. She could not get a appt. at the Mayo Clinic till this past Thursday (alot of hurry up and wait). I guess it was nice to see her at home but she was in so much pain. They gave her 2 diffrent painkiller and they would work for about 45 min. then she would be in so much pain she wouldn't know what to do with herself. She got dressed once when we were there and that was because the pastor of their church was coming over to see her. This is so sad to see her like this. She is a very fit and unitl latley a very healthy woman. The Dr. even said she is in top physical condition except she has this terrible cancer. So they did meet with a Dr, on Thursday and I'm not sure if it is good news or not. They said her cancer is advanced. I don't think my Mom heard anything after that. The only way to possibly stop or slow it down is going to be a combo of surgery, chemo, and possibly radiation. So now we wait till tomorrow to see what another Dr. says and she may have surgery either tomorrow or the next day. Sorry to be so long but it really helps to share with you all, Love, Kathy V. Guest guest
Jess, Sorry you're having a rough time, but you sound like you're definitely aware of it, and THAT " S GOOD!!! What I would do is join a gym! Or, if you don't like gyms, maybe walk near water somewhere? That always seems to do the trick for me! About Jeff...I know he's a bit " off " from his post he mentioned about, but I can tell you, once his med's kick ass again, you'll both be on your way to happier days! I myself put my husband thru hell during my " off med " time, once they kicked butt, everything worked out for the best. Try and hang in there, email me anytime! HUGS! Dawn hi all Hi everyone . I usually don't post with a problem because i'm pre op but some of you seem to have good heads on your shoulders so i thought you could help.. ok it gets kinda complcated but let me try. since jeff had his surgery i have lost 21 lbs on my own some in part of the fear of eating in frount of him right after his surgery and some of it because i have been getting up a 6am and walking with a friend. well in the last 2 weeks or so my friend has cut down our walks and i can't seem to get up and go with out having a walking buddy so i cut down on walking and seemed to maintain the wl. but lately jeff as been in a real mood and he is alway pissed at something and he is never home and i feel myself getting back into the bad habbets again. then 2 nights ago my walking friend told me she is having a baby and i'm happy for her but i have pcos and my never have my own kids so i'm also alittle depressed not that i would ever let my friend know that. but when i came home from work tonight and made ssome cake batter and ate it with a spoon while watching tv i thought i might get some ideas as to how to get back on track and back to being a looser like the rest of you....i want to get my bmi under 45 so i can have this done by lap.. thanks jess

Guest guest
Being alone sucks. Have you considered taking night classes or something to keep you occupied so you don't get into that " I'm all alone and nobody loves me " mentality? I get that a lot, and I've found that having something to do helps to ease that feeling. That's why I have a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing...I had a LOT of time to fill up. Also, many colleges have gyms available for the students. You could kill two birds with one stone. -- S hi all Hi everyone .
