I had my regular gp appointment to check my ear again yesterday and the

perforation is still there and not healing. My apt. with the ENT is

almost here, next Wed. after waiting almost two months. My gp said the

perforation isn't any smaller and us thinking it was, was just wishful

thinking. Last visit he'd said it was smaller. The middle ear looks

unhealthy he said, whatever that means. Then on top of that, I have

developed fungus on my toe and the nail is all brown. They took a sample

of the nail to send away to the lab. I am still using the drops two times

a day and waiting. He didn't know what the ENT specialist would do. Does

anyone know how they treat an unhealthy middle ear full of junk from the

mould and a perforated ear drum?

Carol,

Thanks for the information. I asked my gp about the yeast/Minocin theory

and he didn't think there was a connection. He would give me Diflucan

tho. I am wondering now if I should have taken it. Who would give a

candida test and what is it? A naturopath?

I think that would be a good idea. Wouldn't hurt anyway!

Gee whiz, Bev, so sorry to hear about this continuing ear problem. I thought

it was getting better but doesn't sound it. And now the toe thing, like you

needed that too. Sure do hope you can get these cleared up.

Babs

PS I'm even more concerned because as I noted before, you and I seem to have

some oddly parallel med. problems. My ear problem is cleared up but once in

a while I still feel that " elevator stopping " kind of dizziness and get a

little panicky....like this afternoon getting into a car.

Bev: When you mentioned rough patch on your face, paper cuts, etc. it

brought to mind this cream I've used for stuff like that - including warts.

It's Glycerin Hand Therapy by Camille Beckman; comes in white plastic jars

with a fabric silk rose on top. I bought it once because my hands were super

dry and it worked like a charm; then, I had a weirdo wart (first wart I ever

had) which got dry and cracked so I put this cream on it for the heck of it.

Within two days the wart was GONE, overnight. I was amazed. I've now used

it for all those skin problems that pop up. Not sure why it works but it

does contain a lot of botanicals in addition to glycerin, vit. E, aloe vera,

etc. Comes in different fragrances - I've only used the Camille. I've used

it for those strange rough patches that pop up over my lip once in a while,

too.

Hi Babs and Bev,

This stuff is really good stuff. It has lots of goodies in it like Babs has

mentioned. It also comes in tubes of hand creme and I think it's the

lanolin in it......it works wonderfully on dry hands even if they have huge

callouses. The lanolin seems to be the secret for that. Good stuff. I

didn't know it would work on warts like that though......wow.

I am in Canada and hope I can find it. You two have convinced me to try

it. I have been using Jergens Hand Cream and do my dishes with rubber

gloves and still have terribly cracked and dry skin.

Bev: I know you meant the " paper cuts " were not really from paper. I was

just too lazy to put the quotation marks around them. LOL

Actually, I got the Camille Beckman cream from a local boutique but I also

found it in Hallmark card gift shop of all places! Let me know if you have a

hard time finding it and I'll try to help. The jar only has the address of

Boise, Idaho 83701 but I'm sure my local shops will have ordering info. Bev,

seriously, do try this! It's not too cheap but it's heavy and a little goes

a long way. Based on my experience, I strongly believe in this product.

Geoff,

Thanks for the candida-yeast site. I had a peek and bought the book The

Yeast Connection and The Woman. It is quite an eye opener and easy to

read. I am sure getting rid of the yeast, fungus, mold, etc. would make us

all healthier.
