Guest guest
Hello Everyone, How are all of you doing? I am not so good right now. I was scheduled for surgery yesterday. I went in to the hospital and got checked in and started my preps for surgery and right before they put in my IV they told me my Dr cancelled all the surgeries for that day because he was sick. The hospital is like 2 and a half hours away from where we live and my husband had taken off to stay with me. I am so upset and dissapointed. I don't know what to do. I had to fight tooth and nail to get my husband to agree to take off then because he was very busy at the time. Then for him to have done it all for nothing. I feel really bad about it even though it was through no fault of my own. To top it all off the Dr is in the hospital and they don't know what wrong with him or how long it will be before anyone is rescheduled. I want to see if there are other Dr's here that will do this but then I want to wait and see if my Dr is going to be ok and how much longer I m going to have to wait. Hence the question what would you do? I am at my wits end. Thank you in advance for your advice. Sincerely, am
Guest guest
Dear am, I know that must have been terribly disappointing for you and for your husband. Think of it this way -- if your surgeon was ill and is now in the hospital, perhaps he wouldn't he wasn't/isn't the best person to have performed your surgery...? I don't know if you are a person of faith but I believe God's timing is perfect. Talk to your DH (dear hubby) and thank him for taking time off from work to be with you. I'm sure he'll understand that it was not your fault that the surgery was cancelled. Take care, am and don't worry .. you'll be on the " other side, " very soon, I'm sure of it. Love!
