Guest guest
Dear , Unless you're very lucky and happen to hit a doctor with a clue, I doubt that either of these organisations will help you much with bowel problems. You would be better off with an ACAM doctor (American College of Advancement in Medicine) who is aware of problems like candida overgrowth and leaky gut. Dr. says that almost all her rheumatic patients have these problems. It's probably how the infection enters the body in the first place with many people. You need to have your candida levels and bowel permeability checked. Candida overgrowth can be treated with a no-sugar, no-yeast diet, a short course of nystatin or diflucan followed by olive leaf extract, grapefruit seed extract or caprillic acid. Leaky gut problems can be treated with l-glutamine, slippery elm and digestive enzymes. You might want to have a look at www.acam.org and use the search facility for a doctor in your area. My daughter has systemic scleroderma and had severe gut problems as you describe for many years, causing her to lose an unbelievable amount of weight. She is now slowly responding to the treatment I just described. Let me know if I can help, Chris. >From: MBA@... > >I have scleroderma and continue to have terrible GI (small bowel motility) >problems which are not being diagnosed. > >Has anyone on the list been to either Mayo Clinic, Rochester or Hopkins >for either GI problems or any other problems?
