Hello, to all of you! My name is , I am 34, live in Houston

Texas and am planning on beginning my Atkins Diet in about ten days.

Thought I'd say hello, tell you a little about me, and ask some

questions, as I am planning to get started.

I just had my second baby a month ago, her name is Macy and I (we)

also have another daughter, Barry Rose, who is 17 months. I am ready

to get my bod back in shape, and am not breaastfeeding. I am

getting a full physical and all associated bloodwork done next

Wednesday and expect to get an all-clear from my doc, since I am

generally pretty healthy. I am 5'4 " and weight 165 pounds, and would

like to lose about 30 pounds. I have never been on a real diet

before but my friends (who are doctors) swear that Atkins is the

right diet to not feel deprived and feel good throughout the day.

I've read the books, bought some basic staples (food-wise). I am

trying to put togather a menu for my induction and am confused about

a couple of things...first of all, I am concerned about the " hidden "

carbs I read are in coffee, soda. I don;t think I can cut out ALL of

my caffeienated bevs.......I DO have a newborn, after all! <G>

Anyone else have a caffeine addiction and what did you do about it

while dieting?

Anyone know where I can find samples of " under 20mg/carb/daily " menus?

How did you all feel while on the induction>? Any tips? Major p

[itfalls? All info appreciated!

I look forward to giving and getting mucho support, and getting to

know you all. How many people on this list?

Best,
