Rita,

I'm going to be fixing your Chicken Caccitatore recipe today from our Cookin'

For A Cure cookbook (if we can find salt pork). HOWEVER, being originally

from Indiana...guess it goes without saying that I'll be pulling for the Colts.

HOWEVER, I now have lots of friends in NE so it'll be okay either way.

Rita, it was worth it, we all know that. It's like anything we can do now

is a blessing.

My Packers are done for the season, good luck with your Pats.

Dear ,

Look in the grocer's deli section by the bacon or by the hams. If the

butcher says he does not have salt pork try smoked bacon or even proscutto

or pancetta( i think that would work). I have had the same thing with

finding salt pork but it was easier than i thought. Chicken cacciotore,

yummm... sounds so good for a Sunday dinner.

All I can say is enjoy the chicken, follow the directions, don't

overcook the chicken!!!

As for the football game, it's snowing, the Pats are the underdog,

really ticks me off, they feel like Manning is the only quartertback in

the game, but we have a guy named Brady who is pretty good also.

Enjoy the chicken and the game!

Rita,

You sound like me, I always seem to do too much, and regret it the next day. I

have always been one to finish a project that I have started. I cant start

something then just let it go for awhile. I want to finish and see the out come.

All my doctors keep telling me to pace myself, I know I need too, but just cant.

there new (old) home they recently purchased. Well for the last two

doors and door casings. By 4 o'clock yesterday I was so tired I was

spilling paint all over me , the floors and my poor walker looks like

Don't know, but to stand back and look at what I accomplished, I think

it might be just worth the effort, I have mixed feelings. It has been

such a long time since I have done anything that strenuous.

Well now I will throw a roast beef in the oven, and see my Patriots can

Pats are pretty rugged. That should rejuvenate me (if they win).

Hi Rita,

I'm proud of you! Some folks might use this horrible disease as an excuse not

to do those things which use to come easy to us, but you push those doors to see

if they open (in other words, Can I do it?) and that makes you special. Your

attitude will keep you going until we beat this thing! You are an inspiration.

Yes, you are all tuckered out, but if you had not tried it, how would you have

known if you could do it. Well, my friend, rest well and recover and don't ever

give up trying. Take care.

God Bless

Yolanda

Once again you make made me feel 10 feet tall, but when I went on the

coaster (The Superman at 6 Flags). I just did it, never gave danger a

thought. If I thought about it, I probably would not even consider it.

Would I do it again? NO! I just felt that I was strapped in good what

harm was there in trying. It did toss me around a great deal, but I

had 8 of my grandkids in the seats behind me rooting me on (I was in the

first car) I had to set a good example for them didn't I? They still

talk about it. Oh well, they can't say the Grandmother was a " wimp "

LOL! Have a good week!

Hi Geo,

I am of Hispanic/Italian descent. My mother was from Puerto Rico, her father

from Venezuela. My father was from Italy. I am 53 years old, have dark brown

hair, dark brown eyes, am right handed and no family history of neurological

disease on my mom's side, don't know on my father's side as my father did not

bring me up and I never got to know him. I have ascending PLS. Hope this

helps. Take care.

And the plot thickens! Oh Boy! For sure your grand kids are proud. If it's

going to take my grand kids a trip for me on any ride, so that they will

realize I'm not a wimp, well guess what...., I'M A WIMP, I ADMIT IT KIDS!

(smile) The best ride I can do now (for the meantime) is ride them on my lap

when I'm in my " Pronto " (electric wheelchair) and I have, so there..., my friend

(not too much of a wimp, right?). Take care.

I hope you don't think I think your a wimp??? That was just a figure

of speech. Some of my grandkids are to old to sit on my lap (they have

girlfriends and boyfriends to that). I have a few little one's who love

to sit and ride, why not. My chair has a beep and the love to press

that button. When I do stupid things like ride a roller coaster, if I

stopped and thought about it, I would be a wimp.

My kids are 5 months to 18 years old, 14 of them and boy do they keep

you hoping (not literally) I mean (rolling).

Enough--good night!

Hi Rita,

I know you did not call me a wimp, I called myself a wimp. I'm sorry, I just

don't do roller coasters. Wow, you have a crew! That's a blessing. I know you

are never, ever, ever, lonely, right? I have three children age range from 12

to 33 and three grandbabies ages 5 - 6. Oh I enjoy all of them so much. They

light up my life. God is so good. Well, you do need the rest for sure. Take

care.

God Bless
