Guest guest
Hi Bette, We got back last night from up north and were able to ski one day near Tahoe--wanted to do more but the weather was sort of uncooperative. We visited some cousins there and had fun anyway. I always have the idea that I'm going to stick with things when I'm gone and I have good intentions but I end up getting worn down while I'm at someone else's house and I get sort of discouraged. I did fairly well up there and weighed myself at home and had stayed the same. On Saturday the 27th I weighed in for December before we left and I was down 3.1 for the month, for a total of 43.7 so far. I just missed the 45 pound star, BUT I'm okay with it and am planning to try to get that one at the end of January along with the 50 pound magnet. I've lost 3 pounds per month for the last 4 months in a row, so that's 12 pounds in 4 months and I'm getting sort of discouraged about that. I know that's good and I don't want it back, but I'd like to lose a little bit more a little faster. I think that I'll try that kick-start plan that they passed out last weekend at the meeting. Anyway, I'm behind in the mail so I'll wish everyone a happy 2004!!!!!!!!!! Best wishes to all that have lost lately or maintained over the holidays and also good luck to anyone that wants to see better results. Hang in there!!!!!!!!!!!! Hi , I'm doing great! I'm learning how to manage these holidays and discovering how wonderful it is to be able to stay on program and still enjoy my favorite holiday foods. I love it! I'm also discovering things that I need to be a little more careful around. How about you? How are you managing the holidays? Let us know when you return from your trip! Guest guest
, I totally understand the difficulty you had " sticking " with it while you were away. It's never easy when we're not at home and in control. At least that's my experience. But at least you maintained and didn't gain. And overall you're still showing losses, albeit slower than you'd wish for. Trying that kick-start program might not be a bad idea. But then, there are other ways to kick-start the WW program -- I'm pretty sure you know what those are so I won't offer any unasked-for advice!! My weigh-in is tomorrow and my home scale tells me that I'm right where I was at last weigh-in two weeks ago. I'll take a maintain, considering all things holiday! I'm pulling for you to get that 50-lb magnet, ! Achieving that will be a huge encouragement for you. I wish you much WW success in 2004 -- do let us know how that kick-start thing works for you!
