Guest guest
Did a quick search of the internet and found them at Linens-n-Things and Sears. http://www.lnt.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1359567 <http://www.lnt.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1359567 & cp=1332285 & parentPag e=family> & cp=1332285 & parentPage=family Sears has more models and the cheapest prices but Linens has better descriptions. One model actually stores your staring and goal weights! That's so cool! I'm going to go get one this weekend. I have been wanting a scale that measures in tenths so it would be more accurate than the cheap one we have now. Has anyone checked out the new WW scales? There is an add in the latest issue of WW magazine that shows a couple nice looking scales and it looks like they weight down to a 10th of an ounce. Doesn't give any real details but says they are available at Sears and Linens-n-Things. Just curious if anyone has priced them or seen them. Guest guest
I would guess that it's one of the lower tech models. I compared all of them on the WW website and some only weigh to the 1/2 pound and don't have any extra features. Hubby went out and bought me this one today and it weights down to one 10th ounce, holds up to 380 lbs, and has a leveling feature that lets you know if you are on it straight so you can't shift your weight to fool it. It also stores your last weight and your starting and goal weights for two people. And it tells you the difference between your last weight and your current. I haven't tried it out yet but it looks pretty cool. Kris _____ From: on The one at Linens N Things is @$60. My local pharmacy had a flyer with one, a Conair Weight Watcher's Electronic Scale for $19.88. I wonder what's the difference in the models? Guest guest
You sound like me! I once had a scale that had those little plastic markers that you could use to mark your " starting " weight.... Even though I live alone, why would I want to mark this so that OTHER people could see this? (It was a dial-type scale.) LOL Now I have a decent digital scale, although it doesn't measure to the tenth. Guest guest
I don't mind people knowing what I weigh now that I don't weigh that any more ;o) When I started WW my grandmother wanted to know how much I weighed and I wouldn't tell her. I told her I had lost 10 pounds but wouldn't tell her my weight. When she asked I told her that my WW leader said we should never have to tell anyone how much we weigh and that it's not polite for them to ask. So my Nana say's... " Well, I won't tell anyone " She totally didn't get that I didn't like her asking and didn't want to tell her. Now I will tell most anyone. When I went and bought the scale yesterday the checker said she didn't own a scale. I told her I didn't use to either and I ended up 195 lbs. She said " You don't weigh that much! " So I told her " Not anymore, I joined WW and lost 54 lbs " She wanted to know if I liked it and said she always wondered if WW really worked. Said she wanted to loose about 30 lbs. So I gave her the details while hubby stood by trying not to laugh at me. He is really supportive though and was telling one of his co-workers how much weight I lost the other day. I guess she just joined WW a few months ago and was getting frustrated because she is loosing slow. So he told her how long it's taken me and told her not to give up ). Guest guest
I am already obsessed with my scale. I wanted a new one because the cheap on I bought several years ago was about a pound off from WW. Sometimes I would weigh myself then go to my meeting and find I weighed the same, but usually it was about a pound lighter than my home scale. I think it's because it rounded up. It was driving me bonkers and I have wanted one that measures in tenths for a year now. So since I hit my starting goal I got one as a present to myself. I still have 12 more pounds to go for my WW goal. But when I walked in the door of WW for the first time I told myself I would eventually weigh what it say's on my drivers license and now I do!
