Guest guest
Good topic, April. Last year I was just beginning in earnest a plan to lose weight. I had just gotten a treadmill right before Thanksgiving and was beginning to exercise on it every day. But I was 40 pounds heavier than I wanted to be and I, like you, had a lot of slip-up days intermixed with the exercise and eating small-portion days. Holidays were rough because I did indulge more than I wanted. But oddly it was a year ago that too much fudge stopped tasting good to me so I was slowly adapting some new habits and ways of thinking. Now this year I have been at goal for almost 5 months and plan to stay on program. Journaling is still a must and the exercise is now a need and not a chore. I have more energy and am not as depressed, so I am seeing the benefits of weight loss and don't want to go back. I have a few off-program days but they're really not as fun as they used to be and I get right back to program. I have come far and now my goal is to help anyone I can with their weight struggles.
