Guest guest
Hi! Just to give a brief history, I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome in July 2001, and decided my only hopes of having children would be to have gastric bypass so that I could lose a substantial amount of weight. I had open rny on July 1, 2002. I've lost about 110 pounds. Prior to this life-changing surgery, I have only ovulated a handful of times in my entire life. I am currently 27 years old. In January of 2003, I ovulated for the first time in at least 5 years. Since then, I have had 37-39 day cycles. WE ARE NOW PREGNANT!!!!! We are sooooo happy, excited, nervous, scared - all kinds of emotions!!!! I am due 12-24-03, so I am only about 4 weeks along. I wanted to introduce myself first, but I'm sure I will be back often to ask questions. I would love to hear from fellow PCOS'ers who have had gastric bypass and either are pregnant or have had children post-surgery. Please pray for a normal, healthy pregnancy and baby. I will keep all of you in my prayers as well. Leslye tedlye@...
