Guest guest
Trisha, yahoo is not delivering all the messages, so I may miss some posts (sorry). What happened to your right arm? sometimes lympho get crazy "just because", so it may not at all be cancer related. Are you having chemo on the right arm? I didn't have a port, so the vein of my left arm are dead, and not usuable anymore for blood test etc. Trisha, remember The Book of Job, and remember what he says..."My emer lives". Be strong girl, this is a trial. , 1:9. He walks with you, so don't let fear, anger, and anxiety distract you from God constant presence in your life. Fear and anxiety is a trick from the enemy. 1 5:8... No, problems do never stop...but we have Jesus that lives in us (Galatians 2:20 ), so I pray you will be comforted by that. Keep up your trust and you will gain your reward. Lu Trisha wrote: Janet I have the same problem with my veins. They are practically non existent and when they are they are pretty good swimmers too. I'll bet good money that my onc will have a port installed before it's all over with. But since my problem is in the RIGHT arm and the cancer was on the LEFT.... Would that still be lymphedema? Now I am worried! DRAT! Do the problems ever STOP???!!! Hugs, Trisha -- Trisha I didn't know how lucky I was, but hearing about your arm I am very glad the nurses always ask me which arm. I should have had a port put in. I go weekly for blood tests and it was so cold outside she had to get a heating pad to warm my arm up enough to see the veins. I make sure they know that I have hard veins to find and sometimes they squirm around once they find them.Gee, please get better and call your doctor tomorrow. I was warned about lymphedema but didn't get it. When the dr did lumpectomy they had every new dr and nurses ask me which breast it was. And they wouldn't leave until the next nurse had answered and said so. They were transferring me to the OR from a waiting cell.Love, hugs and prayers,Janet AIDC
Guest guest
Trisha; take care of you, allow yourself to rest. I remember the chemo and I was so tired I just layed on the bed or the couch. Keep your chin up you can do it. Ren
Guest guest
> Does anyone have the feeling of whole body numbness at times, or am I just > imagining it? It seems as when I dried off after my shower this morning > that parts of my whole body were numb. Either my tongue or gums feel numb > too. I can't tell if it's my gums or my tongue. OK OK I know I am nuts!! > But it really is a strange feeling. You're not imagining it, Trisha - numbness is one of the side effects. I have numb toes and fingertips. Creepy feeling. It will fade - sometimes it takes a long time, but it will go. > I keep trying to get a hold on how I SHOULD feel... I just KNOW I shouldn't > feel this tired. Should I ?????? There's no " should " - you feel the way you feel, and when you're tired you rest. Your body needs the rest, in order to cope with the treatment. This is the chemo doing things to you (think what it's doing to the cancer <G>) - not your fault. Take each day as it comes - baby steps, and you'll get there. Guest guest
Thanks for the encouragement on the test results...I'm not usually the anxious type, but this time, I just am. I could lie and say "I'm fantastic!," but I'd be lying. You're words came at just the right time ~ we seem to be able to do that for each other! Thank God you are feeling "good" - I like "good." Guest guest
The most important ones are the carrot and apple/carrot/passionfruit. It's the Vitamin A. I don't care for tomato juice, so I avoid that one. They also carry a strawberry/banana smoothie that will soothe your mouth. Best,
