We live on that and whatever I can make selling my chemo hats - which believe me, isn't enough. So, from my perspective, you get approved for SSI if you're REALLY poor. As for cases of abuse, I'm sure they exist - but I'd like to think that most people receiving aid depend on it to survive. How do I survive? I rely on the two P's - Prayers and Prozac! Most come from the people I know in groups. We live in a small community of 1500 so there is no place to sell them here plus this area is all farmers and they don't buy this sort of thing. Craft fairs might be a better idea than a website.
