Hi ,

sinus infections are just no fun are they? Sorry you have one, but on the

other hand, I am glad it is something antibiotics can take care of.

I hope you start feeling better shortly...and that you can urinate too!

I'm glad you got it checked out and it's " just " a sinus infection (she

says with the sarcasm of one who has had numerous sinus infections in her

lifetime) My b/p tends to run on the high side when I have an active

infection and then comes back down after a few days on the antibiotics. I

think partially because you are in pain without really realizing it (at

least if you have a high pain tolerance like me) and once the antibiotic

kicks in the inflammation comes down and the pain you didn't know you had

goes away allowing your b/p to drop....did you follow that?? **I've been

dealing with a hyper 6 year old today and I think it's starting to wear on

me**

Get some rest, drink something, keep your fluid level up (if you aren't

fluid restricted) and get some more rest.

I had wondered if the BP thing was related to the infection. I will check my

BP on Sunday or Monday and see if it is any better.

I am feeling a bit better today, I was able to get a decent sleep last

night. I will nap today as it is a Prednisone day and I can already feel the

loopyness kicking in. I find the best way to deal with it is to sleep it

off.

Tomorrow we have a full house of company coming for Brunch and Dinner. (I

have already told them that all they need to bring is a healthy

understanding for my lack of housekeeping!) This should be interesting...

I am not on fluid restriction, and thought I was drinking a ton, which is

why I was concerned about the lack of " toilet time " , but I guess I am

blowing more than I thought out my nose! LOL!

I think I am just getting a bit paranoid, everything with my IGAN had been

going " hunky-dory " until this last 3 months, and now I am having all kinds

of wacky reactions to the drugs, and my labs went south. And now with

getting sick, I think I am sort of over reacting. I can't wait to see the

latest results of my labs, (on Friday) and hopefully I will feel more

settled.

You should mention it to your doctor when you see him/her, but...

....BP fluctuates daily and even during the day. Yes, you might have higher

blood pressure if you are sick or have an infection of some kind. The damage

from high blood pressure happens over a long time - years really, and

occasional days when BP is higher aren't that meaningful.

Hi ,

Every time I get sick with a cold or flu, I find that my bp goes up

significantly (like my current illness from 130/80 to 150/95 or

thereabouts and now it's gone down to 138/85) and even my creatinine

levels will temporarily increase. Once I am better, both the bp and

the creatinine levels will return to normal levels.

I hope that you will get over your sinus infection soon and that

your labs will return to its previous state.
