Hi Ruby - You have came to the right place. The women here are very loving and supportive. Losing my hair was very hard for me - getting a short hair cut is what I did. You will be in my prayers. Sue

Hi. I have breast cancer and had a lumpectomy the 26th of July. There were not able to get a clean margin on the lump because it was on a muscle and they didn't cut into the muscle. So, I will start chemo Tuesday (4 treatments)then 6 weeks of radiation. I think my attitude is pretty good, I am getting a short haircut tomorrow and also got some chemo hats from the local Cancer Society. I heard that cocoa butter is good for the radiation burns if you get them and also when your hair grows in to use baby shampoo. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

  • 2 years later...

I have been having chest pain for quite some time, continually

getting worse, docs have done all the tests, blood work, tread mills,

echo-cardiograms, they says it's electical, not muscular and that my

heart is fine (I don't believe them).

I have fatigue, and fibgro/costrocondritus, they say I have pvc as I

wore the 24 hour heart monitor, I definitely have palps as I feel

them, some faint, some strong. Every day I have them, though some

days barely, I could swear it's linked to what I eat? or rather,

something I eat sometimes makes it go away, so mineral or something,

I can't figure it out. Anyway, the doctor says it's not much to worry

about, yet I'm scared and feel like I can't do anything physical

anymore. I'm male, not to old either. I have had things that feel

like a stroke, dizziness, lightheadedness, I've ran to the ER,

nothing, I've got to find another avenue, something or someone to

help me. I have children and they need a father.

They have me on a low dose 25mg beta blocker, just started 3 days

ago, not sure it will help. It's definitely something like costro-

condritus as it can happen upon movement, or often when I sleep. I

want to get rid of this, not mask it over with a beta-blocker. I

truly feel like it's something missing in my body. Once I took

magnesium, 750 mg a day, it went away, but has come back, the blood

work said everything was fine, magnesium, thyroid, whatever, but it

was all just the standard run of the mill blood test.

Someone recommended this board, and has mentioned the " Armour "

tables, I'm thinking of taking the " Thyroid Armour 100 x 15mg

tablets " to see if that helps, are they safe?

Also, Iodine, I have these Kelp + Iodine tables, I think they have

125 mcg of Iodine, can that help? I do find that my muscles are

tense a lot, I have to relax as I'm all tense, but that I do not

think is the cause, rather the stress from worrying about this crap.

Please help me if you can.

- Scithster
