Guest guest
I too have been doing OAMC for probably 6yrs. and I just love it!! And it's great for WW too, as I don't have days when I just want to grab junk (or carry-out)for dinner if I am pressed for time......I just open the freezer and grab a meal out in the morning, stick it in the fridge and then pop it in the oven at dinner time. Heat/steam some veggies and dinner is ready. I really have not had to change much of the recipes in the OAMC books to fit WW. Just have to remember portion control, add veggies, fruit and maybe a bread item to each meal. I had always done my cooking sessions alone, until a friend of mine who is widowed and has two small boys was really needing to slash her grocery bill in 1/2 to make ends meet and she decided to try it and she is hooked (she does more of the marinades and grill type of foods as they don't much care for casseroles). So we do a 30 day session together.......which for a family of 3 a 9x13 pan of food goes a long way ) We are planning a session for each of us in Jan. Guest guest
OK...you have piqued my curiosity....where does one find more information on this? I just don't know if I have the freezer space for it. Guest guest
There are several yahoogroups that may be helpful to you, just send an email to anyone of these. After you subscribe go to the files section of the group and look for either Weight Watchers, WW, points and you will find wonderful recipes with WW points calculated......I normally double check the points to make sure they are correct.......enjoy! Guest guest
I belong to the Friendly Freezer, Make Ahead Meals (which I started before going back to work and handed off to a new list owner) and run my own group at Yahoo. If you want to join, e-mail me, but I don't want to look like I joined the list to promote. It just so happened the chat moved in that direction. Many thanks, > yahoogroups.com snippage... Guest guest
Moe, would you be willing to share some of your freezer-friendly, points-friendly weight watcher recipes????? I have done freezer cooking, but stopped when I started WW. I don't have many WW-friendly freezer recipes. Liz, I have purchased most of the freezer cookbooks on the market. The BEST one is called 30-day gourmet. Okay, the recipes aren't necessarily the best, but it provides the BEST information on freezing, cooking helps, etc. I refer to that book frequently. They have a website that I'll link so you can learn about freezer cooking. http://www.30daygourmet.com/ Lyn

Guest guest
Oh, just another thought. (Actually I'm going to be whiney.) I used to belong to Friendly Freezer. There are lots of recipes there, and I re-join it occasionally to search out WW recipes, then quickly unsub. However, I posted there twice. I got blasted by the moderator because I sent a thank you to the group. And the moderator wasn't nice about it, either. She was downright rude. This was a couple years ago, so I figured that it wasn't the group for me. Boy, do I hold a grudge! Just had to share that! Guest guest
Howdy! I'm in Eldred (although it is easier to tell people that I live near Crookston). My zip code is from Climax, MN... the telephone number is Crookston, MN ... my cell number is Fisher, MN and I work in Grand Forks, ND. Technically, this should probably give you almost exactly where I live within a mile or so. LOL Eldred doesn't have much now except for the Lutheran church and the grain elevator. Technically, I'm not IN Eldred either.. a mile or so out on a big sugar beet farm. in MN > -----Original Message----- > From: Audrey & Wes > > Another fellow Minnesotan? Great!!! Guest guest
It wants something from Lifestyle software. I called the company and they no longer handle that type of software they change to some sort of software contractor or something? Guest guest
Oh..... Hmmmmm.... Well that kind of bites. (No pun intended, even though we are discussing cookbook software.) You'd think they would still have that software available SOMEwhere.... > Re: Lowering Grocery bill & still > eating healthy/ > > > It wants something from Lifestyle software.
