Guest guest
Val, this is not meant to be a criticism, but I wish we could keep at least some if the info in these e-mails (though I understand why they've said not to). Some of these span over days because of schedules and info gets lost when new questions are posed and then I have to type all the same info again. The forums were so much better for this. Personally, I get confused as h*ll and a lot of my e-mails get passed over. I know you're doing your best and I appreciate it so much!!!!!!! I just confused with this method and I wonder if anyone else has trouble keeping up......? With that being said, you concurred with my suggestion of lowering it because my problems began with switching my doses around so I had more at night and then increasing by 2.5 mg. HC followed by an accidental overdose of HC (+2.5 mg. HC) and Florinef (+1/2 pill). I felt much, much worse, got horrible Candida infection (another user here told me people with yeast are not supposed to use Florinef, I backed off today and was a little better). You suggested that I felt worse after the overdose because I needed a raise of thyroid but I think now it was all related to the immune suppression/candida from the overdose of FLorinef (and maybe HC too?). While I might have needed a raise of thryroid I think it was definitely the wrong time with everything being still so haywire from the overdose and sent my already suffering adrenal further into the tank. So I suggested going back to what I was on before the overdose and before I had switched things around with my dosages and increased HC to 25 mg., which also made me feel worse and you agreed but said not to change too fast. That was why I asked what you meant by too fast because I wasn't sure how to decrease by 2.5 mg. and slower than just decreasing by 2.5 mg. wrote: >>7.5 - 7.5 - 5 - 5 I added the extra 2.5 at night to be able to sleep better, which I did. Previously I was on - 7.5 - 7.5 - 5 - 2.5 Would it be ok to go back to this schedule (I just raised 1/4 grain of Westhroid on Friday, and felt horrible afterward)??<< Feeling horrible after a thyroid increase usually indicates LOW cortiosl not high so why would you lower it? -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Well, I decreased by 1/4 pill today and felt significantly better. Remember, everyone is an individual....and I had overdosed on it and developed terrible candida, so my sitiuation is a little different, I think. Nicola wrote: I take Florinef every day, and discontinuing from one day to the next is not an option, and nor should it be recommended. I cannot miss a dose without severe symptoms. It is like HC - you shouldn't stop any adrenal support from one day to the next, but wean off it slowly. All steroids are immune suppressants to some extent - not just Florinef. It depends what dose you take. Guest guest
Then it seems ot me you had more than ONE day overdose of the Florinef and had BEEN on too much to begin with. I repeat this does NOT happen form ONE overdose, tbu from several weeks of too much steroid. Maybe the overdose was a catalyst that made things noticable, btu something was wrong to begin with for you to still have this problem. BTW my Candida did nto go away until I had been on a good thyroid dose for several months, it is not immediate. This is a balance thing as Candida is a NORMAL part of everyone's bopdy and only when it goes into overgrowth does it become a problem. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
But that's what I'm trying to say....the reason my last e-mail was so long is because I had to repeat everything that had been typed in previous e-mails that had been deleted in the back and forth. I feel like you would get fewer and shorter e-mails (at least from me) if you left some info in because questions wouldn't need to be repeadetly asked and info typed over and over. That's all I'll say about it, it's just a suggestion. wrote: The reason is jst liek this one. I have 17 emails to read and respond to this AM. I ahve 20 minutes before I ahve to leave for work. Log ones have to wait till I come home tonight. Then they will get resent 2-3 more times as I have not responded. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ __________________________________________________
