Guest guest
Hello! I jumped headfirst right into the cookie jar last night (oreos). Ack! But, today, I am back on low carb. So, don't let it get you down, just get back onto the wagon. Feeling bad about cheating just leads to more cheating, and we all know where that will lead us. So, no feelings of guilt.. But there's also no point in putting undue pressure on yourself by having illegal foods in the house. I'd go crazy if there was a Caramilk bar, or a box of Stoned Wheat Thins in my house! I wouldn't last a day jinxie
Guest guest
Patti, I agree with you, if I agonize over a cheat, I just do it again. But if I just get up, brush it off and get back on the wagon, I tend to lose more weight that way. Its no use in beating ourselves up over a cheat, just figure out what made you do it, then stay away from that very thing if you can. That always works for me! Guest guest
Kim, Kim, Kim. I guess it is back to the naughty corner for you. Don't be too hard on yourself though, the weekend is coming up again soon, so I will probably be back there to play with you very soon. LOL Mantra for the coming weekend - I want to leave Kim alone in the naughty corner, I want to leave Kim alone in the naughty corner...LOL Jean 190/142.5/135 (Friday's goal 142) 12/7/

I have to have an iron will, since our cupboards are full of crackers, bread, and other stuff I don't eat. I buy food for me, and food for him. He does eat the LC meals that I prepare, but also eats all that other stuff. I have told him that he would feel immensely better if he were to at least give up the sugar, to no avail. He is one of those people who can eat anything he likes and gain no weight. Oh well! I put the oreos in a rubbermaid container WAY back in the cupboard so I at least don't have to look at them. Guest guest
I was thinking the same thing.. I think I would want to replace the mounds bar with a good back rub.. or soaking my feet.. or a nice long bubble bath with candles burning to relieve the stress. The few minutes of eating the candy and what the consequences for doing so is too much for me. It reminds me of something my Mother said one time about sex... A few minutes of enjoyment, can lead to 18 years of heartache. Oh.. well she did describe something that sounds like a mounds bar.. --- wrote: > Ha ha ha.... that is what I was thinking she was > eating too Zsas! > -----Original Message----- > From: Zsasmine (Astrid O'Brien) Donatello > > > > What is that? Guest guest
Sorry Kim, Terry thinks you need to stay in solitary confinement and my brain thinks I should let you too. Now if my mouth will just cooperate. Terry, I did drop another 1/2 pound, but I am still kind of befuddled about gaining two over the weekend. I have to assume that it was just the lack of water. So I am drinking up. Last night only required one trip to the potty in the middle of the night. Just have to keep getting that water in early. Guest guest
Hey, I have a son who doesn't put on a pound. He eats garbage all day.. Cakes, cookies, chips all those trashy things.. He took that from his Dad's side.. Good luck with the will power... I guess I would have to tape pictures of my over weight self on the goodies in the cabinets. That would sure may the temptations go away.. Gail --- wytchwomyn@... wrote: > > > You have those in the house!!!????!!! Yikes!! > You have to get rid > of all > > those things that tempt you!! LOL. I do tell him that he still has to be careful; even though he is thin, he could still have lots going on inside that isn't good. I hope that one of these days, he will give it a try. I just know he would feel better. Me, I just sniff a plate of brownies, and put on 5 pounds. Sigh! Bright Blessings, Patti
Guest guest
I had a professor in college who ate whatever he wanted and was always thin, until he dropped dead of a massive heart attack at the age of 51. I'm not saying this will necessarily happen to your son, but there are consequences other than getting fat for feeding your body garbage. They are only 7 + 9. I have a kitchen full of cookies and cakes and a special 'tub' for choccie bars. I also buy fruit but i don't feel i can deny them all these things. The thing is, it doesn't bother me in the least. I go to the kitchen for a 'legal' snack and i can just as easily get a cookie but if i can't find anything, i just drink a pint of water and leave the kitchen. I am very proud of this as i wouldn't have been able to do this a few months ago. For me, the goal outweighs any cravings for cookies or chocolate bars :-) Jen 235/210/150 minigoal/
Guest guest
Oh I am very aware of the consequences this garbage can do. His father is in more danger due to smoking. Guest guest
I buy my husband's treats for him. I only buy treats that I either don't like or can resist. So, if he wants cookies, I buy a kind that I don't love. He likes rice pudding and I hate it, so I make sure we have lots. Rice krispie treats are another good one *icck*. I give him treats for his desk at work. Lynn

Guest guest
Janet...sorry to see that you are having to deal with thta pain. Stress is a BAD deal for all of us. Many days it feels like a pie in the sky thing but I'm trying very hard to do one stress reducing thing a day that doesn't include eating comfort food. It may include cooking in some capacity because that just frees my mind.

Guest guest
That's a good idea Val. Unfortunately for me my big stress reducer, riding my horse, I can't do right now. Too many aches and pains from surgeries and stitches. I wish I could because riding her really helps me. Sadly I'm trying to sell her though. Just too much to deal with right now. So, I've taken up knitting. I'm not sure yet if it's stress reducing or not. I've decided to make chemo hats for patients at the local cancer center. I'll make them for free.
