Moe - you can vent here anytime. :) You're dealing with a big change, even

though temporary, and you're still adjusting to it. But you can do it. I know

you can, because I've read previous posts from you that tell me that you know

how to work this program!

So, please . . . take a deep breath and don't wait to regather your focus --

do it now! Even though your DH is messing up your schedule, you can still

work the program. Eat with him -- even late at night, if you want to. But eat

the things you know will keep you on program. Hide some dang snickerdoodles if

you need to !! -- I do that. Or, I sometimes put two containers in the

freezer....one that says " for the family " and one that says " touch this and

die!! "

LOL!!!!! Come on, Moe - you can DO this!!!!!

Hugs ~

Bette

Ohhh, can I relate! DH was off for nearly 11 weeks--first vacation, then

surgery. This was his first week back and I am trying to get everything done

that

couldn't be done when he was home.

A total lack of structure. It's bad because I own and operate a

microbusiness. I NEED structure in order to run my business!!! I need structure

to just

feel human. And DH is just the opposite.

I turn to popcorn for comfort. With the ICBINB spray, now I won't feel sooooo

bad!!!

What comfort foods does everyone turn to?

the USPS. LOL!

Moe,

Getting out of a routine can be tough. I'm struggling a little this

week with the week off from work. Good for you for recognizing

the problem and attacking it!!!

One burning question --- what on earth is a " snickerdoodle " ?

Best,

Mitch

I'm like that too. I get into my routines and need to have everything a certain

way. Then when it gets messed up, I go nuts. I hope you get your routine

back!!!!!!!

Snickerdoodles are similar to sugar cookies but they are rolled in cinnamon

and sugar before they are baked, and they taste a little more buttery. I

can't believe you've never had one! YUMMM They are my husbands favorite

cookie but we usually end up eating the balls of dough before they ever get

baked. They are high points too, I think I figured 5 points each, so I don't

make them very often anymore.

Alrgiht I am starting from scratch. I have been a nervous wreck with my DH

being home for 2 months and it's just driving me insane. I just want to

eat! I am a structured person and he has goofed up our schedule. We are up

late, sleeping late and eating junk.

I think my main problem has been the sleeping thing. I am totally off

schedule and eating breakfast at 9-10am lunch at around 2pm and dinner I am

really not hungry for. I am tired all the time......again I think from the

goofy sleep pattern. And my head is in a whirl wind of DH and the TV

blarring (DS and I keep the TV off during the day when DH is at work), DS

3yrs old jabbering constantly and then my normal work routine plus DH

wanting 3 meals and snacks all day long......he is one of those skinny

people who can just eat and eat. I feel like sitting down and eating with

him everytime he does. I baked a batch of low point snickerdoodles to keep

in the freezer for a sweet snack and he is in there grazing on them all the

time!!

Ok, thinks for letting me vent. He has only been home since Christmas Day

so I think we are just adjusting to each other :o) It's like this every

year when he is on vacation, but this year I am on WW and working at eating

more healthy and boy I am finding it's hard! I have gained 6 lbs in

December and I really need to be diligant and make this forever!!!

Thanks for listening.

LOL......this has been going on for the last 10 yrs and I get used to it

after a few weeks and then when it's time for him to go back to work I

really miss him! He normally works 6 days a week 7am-5pm so he is gone alot

the rest of the year. I journaled dinner tonight and measured my food, so I

am back on track. I just needed a good shove in the right direction :o)

Thanks
