Guest guest
Dear BreastCancer2 members, I am with a private cancer specialty hospital. We are similar to major hospitals in that we offer conventional treatments of surgery, chemotherapy and radiation (and sometimes are able to offer more than major hospitals because our entire budget for treatment goes toward cancer treatment and no other department). We are different from conventional hospitals in that we also offer complementary treatment as well. Complementary therapies include nutrition (each patient works with a nutritionist immediately, not once terrible weight loss has set in), naturopathic medicine, psychoneuroimmunology, and spiritual counseling (if desired). We also believe in Patient Empowerment Medicine. Patient Empowerment Medicine (PEM) is a philosophy of care that puts patients first and in the center of their care. Aside from assembling a team of expert care providers who work within your schedule (and not the other way around), CTCA works diligently to uncover the things that patients need and value-long before they even enter our doors. If I can be of help to you in determining if Cancer Treatment Centers of America is an option, you can reach me at , extension 7368 Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. central time or at lillian.wickram@... Thank you and I wish you the greatest success on all of your journeys toward healing. Truly, Lilly Wickram , extension 7368
